  1. I imagine this is a stupid question, but I've spent a little while searching for the answer and I can't find it. How do I get an external HDD working through USB with my rgh Xbox? I have a FAT32 formatted, 500gb drive full of XBLA titles. I formatted it in Windows 7, converted it to FAT32 and then dumped everything in there. Should it just be plug and play, or do I need to format it using the 360 before I put the content on there? It's not showing up in the bit in aurora where you tell it to look for content, so I'm guessing I've done something wrong?
  2. Of I'm using it now, would that point to it being fat32? Or am I going to need to get everything off it and reformat it?
  3. Is there a cheap and easy alternative? I have two 120gb drives, in 360 caddies, that are full of games. I swap them over as and when needed, but would prefer to have both attached at the same time. The transfer cable kinda works, but only kinda.
  4. Just out of curiosity, I hooked up a spare hard drive to my 360 via a transfer cable. In Aurora, I was able to set it as a path for games. It scanned them properly and downloaded all the covers. So far, so good. However, when I rebooted. It didn't find the games and, when I went to check the scan paths, it listed the hdd as "disconnected" and the only way to get it back was to delete the path and re-add it, at which point it re-scans and re-downloads everything again. Any idea if I can get it so I don't have to rescan every time I reboot? I'm using the latest version of Aurora, if that makes any difference.
  5. I thought that might be the case. I may have to resort to one of those trainers I've seen elsewhere...
  6. I've found out what the problem is here. I don't normally have my 360 connected to my router since it currently involves running a network cable from one room to another, which doesn't really work when I have two kids under four and a pregnant wife who can't see her feet. But last night, I wanted to update all my games, so hooked it up. While it was hooked up, I booted up Fight Night and lo and behold, I'm presented with a message telling me that I can't use dlc if I'm not signed into EA's servers. Is there any way around this?
  7. Ah, I see. That makes sense. Is there a tutorial for this somewhere?
  8. I take it I'll need to edit the .ini file on a PC, then transfer it to the 360's hdd?
  9. I have a 360 that is currently running fsd3. I think. From what I can tell Aurora is the way forward as fsd3 isn't being supported anymore. I'm going to give installing it a go, but have a couple of questions 1) if I install it from fsd, do I need to back up all my games first? Or will it just install Aurora and not touch anything else? 2) Do I then need to change something to get my 360 to boot to Aurora, or will this happen automatically? 3) I have a second hard drive, in its own caddy, that I'm wanting to fill with emulators and swap out as and when I want to play them rather than the 360 stuff on the current drive. I'm assuming I need to install Aurora on this drive as well? How do I do this?
  10. Yep, updated to latest version, still no joy.
  11. What I've found is: if tick the the "disable scan at boot up" box, this doesn't happen. Weird.
  12. Not sure if this is an fsd issue or not, but thought I'd ask in here anyway. For some reason, when I go into my arcade folder (I'm using a DOC Emmett Brown skin if that makes any difference) all my xbla games are duplicating multiple times. I have 15 games on my hard drive, but it's saying I have 60. Clicking on any of the duplicates launches the game as normal, but it's still annoying. Any ideas why this might be happening and how I sort it?
  13. Fairly sure I've updated it. I'll check tonight
  14. I've copied my Fight Night Champion disk to the hard drive of my fat, rgh modded 360. I've the *cough* acquired some dlc, including stuff like unlocking all boxers. As with previous dlc I've grabbed, I've copied the files to the appropriate folder and checked it's unlocked with xm360. And it doesn't work. Nothing has changed in the game. Any ideas why this might be? I suspect it needs access to the EA store to be useable. Any way to do this on an rgh console?
  15. I'll check which version I've got, but I'm sure I got the latest one. There's a 16747 folder... Edit The highest version is 16547.
  16. This was the key for me. I updated my kernel and the error has gone away.
  17. Managed to update to a higher version, but not 16747 (I've posted questions about that in the relevant threads), and it's worked. The error has gone away and I can now play Forza Horizon 2
  18. I don't seem to have the option to upgrade to 16747. In the xebuild gui, the highest one I can select is 15xxx. Any idea why this might be? I've only downloaded xebuild today, but the NANDflasher is a version that was on my 360 when I bought it, if that makes any difference.

  20. Ah right. Fair enough. Going to attempt a kernel update over the next couple of days. Really hoping I don't brick my 360...
  21. Why 16747, can I ask? There are newer versions....
  22. I had this problem for ages and ages. I thought my 360 wasn't connecting to the 'net properly or something. Turns out that what Anonymous said above was the answer. It's not your jqe360 username and password you need, you need to register an account at XboxUnity.net and use THAT username and password. Works a charm.
  23. Superstar! Have followed those instructions and now is works. Yah and, I do believe, hoo. Cheers matey
