  1. yup :)

then any firewall issues will be on your wireless router

Just make sure on your wired router, your wireless router is given a permanent ip, you'll need to manually do that, last thing you want is it given a new ip

  2. you can try that

your wireless router has a separate ip that the wired router is giving it, so theres a separate IP.

It may be 0.2 but you can check it in the "connected devices" option, your router may have a different name for it

  3. Not only that, if you have Freestyle on one usb stick, your dashlaunch will be setup to boot from USB0:/FSD/

if your FSD USB stick takes a bit longer to load than the other, it becomes USB1, and the other stick becomes USB0, therefore dashlaunch wont find FSD on the other usb stick

Take out all usb apart from the one that has freestyle, then plug in your 2nd usb once its been booted

  4. Is your router plugged into another router by chance?

Because if it is, that router may need adjust too, well small adjustment, give the IP of your 2nd router a DMZ on your first router.

Other than that, make sure you have the latest TU, and search for games. Could also be an issue with your ISP, if your ISP is strict on torrent traffic

  5. I've a Netgear Wireless-N 300 Router

On my router I've a button for "Port Forwarding / Port Triggering", and in it its Start Port is 1000 and End Port 1001 for my xbox IP address

If your router has port triggering too, add the ports in it too

  6. you can try changing the ports to 1000 and 1001.

I get the "failed" too but link still works, its hard sometimes to find a game in CoD because many people are on different versions of the TU.

Try that, ensure DMZ is enabled for your xbox

  7. Search on ebay for an xbox 360 slim caddy, you can get them from china for next to nothing, that's a case for a standard 2.5" hard drive, Swizzy is suggesting that you use one of the hard drives as an internal hard drive, that way you're issues will be solved.

To be honest, this would be my advice too, nothing beats the reliability of internal hard drives, and at least the xbox will load FSD properly.

Once you do that (if you do that) format the hard drive, then load xexmenu and then you can ftp FSD over to the internal hard drive, then use xexmenu to load dashlaunch and configure your dashlaunch to load FSD from the internal hard drive, the downside is you'll have to FTP your games over, and that may take some time depending on how many you have.

Theres nothing else we can really help you with, your just going to have to change how you have it setup.

  8. If your using 2 USB devices, keep one of your usb devices unplugged until it boots, that could be slowing it down too.

you can also try using the built-in memory to do what swizzy suggested, setup a custom boot-video, that can buy you a good 10 seconds and see if that helps.

built in memory is useless for FSD, especially if you'll have more than 100games, all the covers/screenshots would take up 4gb alone. Not only that, heavy usage (ie. FSD) will just burn out the flash card (Built-in memory) much quicker giving you problems in the future.

  9. front ports share the same systembus amonst other front of the xbox crap.

ports at the back have their own dedicated systembus (according to Major Nelson), this is for slims anyway.

but your right with the usb hdd, it sounds like its not being detected on time.

  10. this again

first, make sure the DLC is unlocked, you be better off using the latest Yarisswap to do it.

secondly, the TU does not go into the cache folder, it goes into /0000000000000000/415608FC/000B0000/

once you put it in there, make sure you do a manual scan, so FSD can properly detect the TU.

Finally, make sure your on the latest dashboard, the latest TU's requires the latest dashboard.

  11. if your hard drive is not internal then it wont show as hdd1, if your hard drive is a usb, then it'll be either usb0 or usb1, or both if you have 2 hard drives, if you have a memory stick unplug it, then you'll see what usb is your hard drive

  12. then just FTP to your xbox when your on freestyle and made a new folder on your hard drive, and put FSD in it, and just do a clean install of Freestyle dash.

Sounds like your running FSD of onboard mu maybe or maybe your trying to copy onto it and your mistaking it for a hard drive, I don't think xexmenu shows the onboard memory, that or maybe a fault with your hard drive, is it plugged in right, does it show in FSD as HDD1?
