  1. if you downloaded to your desktop, use 360 contact manager - that'll upload where it should be. sometimes I need to do a path scan to get my TU's recognised for manual uploads (I have auto-scan at startup disabled)

    Other note...

sysx is for avatar/Kinect data only

hddx is for xbox 1 files.

  2. I'm not fussed on the whole multiplayer, I can always get a 2nd or just go PC.

    I like console modding :)

As for the xbox one jtag, we could see the old on/off switch like the xbox classic had, or the dual nand what the xbox currently has now

  3. fck'n lol

anyone here remembers how much infinitely more powerful was the almighty and extraterrestrial-designed-and-manufactured cell microprocessor compared to the puny and mediocre internals of the xbox360? i do.

yeah, i bet that the same thing will happen between the "much more powerful" ps4 and the xbone

I believe the PS4 will be better as its more of a gaming console that "TV" but getting used to a ps controller after 10 years for me - doubt it!

I'll get the XBO and the very second its jtaggable... its getting it :turned:

  4. that ebay item will do

A computer can't read the format the hard drive is in, its not FAT32 or NTFS.

If you use your current hard drive to make it internal, the xbox will as you to format it, so make sure you've all backed up.

If you use a usb pen to transfer games, you can just use the filemanager built in FSD or xexmenu

  5. You don't have to god it.

You can have it at hddmygamesgta or whatever

As for your 16GB, you must have created that back before pre-15574 dashboard, if you delete that partition and create it again, you'll get 32gb option (Of course you'll loose all on that 16gb partition)

  6. I have no USB connected, all runs on internal 750GB 2,5" drive.

So just launch dashlaunch and make sure nosystemupdate = true and all will be well?

Thanks for taking the time to help :)

Correct. The game or any other game wont ask you to do a system update :)

  7. Disc 1 "Mandatory install" goes to /Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/545408A7/00000002

HDD1 being the device your using.

I have GTA V disc 2 as GoD format - no issues.

FSD only needs to regnize the game, not the DLC. The game will take care of the dlc (Mandatory install)

As for the "system update", as long as your noupdater is set to true your fine. Tho you have to accept the update if it ask for it. So you'll know if something isn't set right.

  8. You won't need to buy a sata 2 hard drive, there will be one inside your usb caddy.

If you really want to start again and get a hard drive and caddy and keep the usb,

Just go on ebay ( I don't know what region your in) but simply search for " 1TB sata 2 2.5 Hard Drive", 1TB can be 750gb, 500gb, what ever you prefer and search for xbox 360 slim hard drive case - that's it

If you find any on ebay you like, you can link me up and i'll see it for you but realy, if you have 500gb already you can use it and save a few quid

Games on the internal do not have to be GoD. You can have a "My Games" folder. But the only way to get games on it is via FTP/DVD DIsc/USB Pen (Copy over).. I usually use a 16GB USB pen to copy stuff over or FTP it over

  9. If you have a small size usb external hard drive, if you open the hard drive case, inside you'll find the sata 2.5" hard drive :)

Some external usb hard drives are large, and inside would be a 3.5" hard drive (too big for inside unless you took out the DVD drive - this I know some people did)

I have a 2TB Hard Drive, replaced my original 250gb HDD. Its internal. I don't use USB to play games from.

Side note: USB 2.0 rate is 60mbits

  10. Get a NTSC game, see if it works, get a PAL game, see if it works... or,,,,

If its JTAGed/RGH'ed you'll be ok. Region is removed.

If you paid via paypal and you were mis-sold a product - get in touch with paypal for options.

  11. and you take your word from a well known game reviver who like IGN have been known to take "donations" ;-)

Screw what reviewers say.. its your review, what 'you' prefer :)

Their is nothing wrong with having the data 'installed' on the hard drive. Where'as for the PS3, GTA5's "Installed" data stays on a bluray disc

SATA II hard drive speed for xbox 360: 300mbits

Playstations bluray speed (4x) is only 144mbits

    soooo..... 300 vs 144 :)

    Edit.

According to wiki, PS3 bluray drive is 2x (72mbits)

  12. Can i simply FTP the extracted Disc 2 folder to anywhere on the Xbox and launch default.xex with xexmenu? It won't try and update something or anything else?

Yes or with FSD. You need to make sure you have the content from disc 1 installed.

  13. You "don't" need it, you do what ever works for you. Im just saying that for better performance, use internal.

Your using USB, powered by USB. I also stated that you will not get a USB 3.0 Hard Drive performance on the Xbox's USB 2.0 platform should your drive be 3.0

    Just saying

  14. the hard drive is 2.5" inside your little usb caddy, you take out the hard drive and put it into a "xbox 360 slim hard drive case", on fleebay for £5 (approx.)

downside you'd have to format the hard drive to make it properly internal, meaning you've to upload everything to it again via ftp or what ever.

  15. Yes

The 3 USB Ports at the back of the console have dedicated system bus, the front have shared. So for better performance - use the back.

and your hard drive is usb 2.0 (1 usb controls the data flow and slightly powers it, the other usb gives it a power boost to power it)

I don't know why you use them, just go with an internal hard drive for the ultimate performance.

  16. i had some minor problems after moving Disc 2 to my external drive... what i would like to know is, are you running Disc 2 from a 2.0 or 3.0 usb-drive?

xbox 360 is usb2.0, you'll not get the full benefits from a usb3.0 drive.

XBOX 360 slim (back ports have dedicated system bus), front usb have shared - so for better performance, use back

  17. Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary but I'll defo keep an eye out for this and report back  :)

When you 'install' Disc 2 to the hard drive, the xbox is creating something like 35+ 166mb files, most of the GTA files on Disc 2 are in the 1.5gb range, this could be the texture lag where 1 file is bein broken up into several, where-as most of us has the game just extracted to a GTA folder
