  1. Is there any way to add background music to Aurora? I'd like to have halo theme music in the background. Thanks.

I believe you would have to add it to the skin. Aurora doesn't have a music player.

By the way, Love the easter egg :0

  2. I dont really, but then again, I will do what I can to survive, so if that means doing installs for people, then thats what I do. ;) I bought that stuff for my xbox, and the occasional friends xbox. Looking back on it, I would have saved more money sending my xbox to someone else to do it, but I have done more then my fair share of xboxes so the tools have paid for them selfs. I do miss my x360usbprov2, as it made a nice sata to usb adapter, which I used more for my day job backing up data off of sata HDDs. Now they are hard to find, and way overpriced. :(

Yeah, probably paid for itself in the first job, maybe second lolz

  3. I have those tools, this buisiness is slow, as more people just want their drives flashed(As it is cheaper), and my flashing equipment was stollen with my laptop. The funny thing is 90% of those people dont have the equipment to rip their own games to back them up, so you know that all they want is to be able to pirate games, then they used to call me as they couldnt get the burnt games to work, as they had no clue as to how to burn a game to begin with. Really you would make more money backing up games for people if they brought you a copy of the game of coarse, as we dont support piracy. ;)

    That sucks, damn ninja's.

I don't do xbox to make money, I'm perfectly happy getting food stamps and GA loans lolz.

Funny thing is, I actually had my drive flashed when I had the rgh and demon installed. I just never got around to copying any discs to use on my retail nand.

  4. i made loads by flashing peoples DVD drives.. off my friends.. but never really wanted to pop into a business.. and NAND-X is roughly $40?? not including shipping

i've put ALOT of money into TX's pockets through the years.. haha

I'm so poor right now, I can't afford to pay attention. roflmao

  5. haha.. i have my own nand-x, and jrp v2.. im all set reguardless.. lmfao but i do understand how people would be scared.. and my comment was about how Gavin ALREADY gave him advice.. and he did not listen lmao

If I had those tools i'd probably be in business, i'm jelly. I knew your comment was in reply to gavin, no probe  ;) It was more for bulldock's benefit.

  6. BAM! lol total pwnage..

Yeah, but the very first update I did on my nand, I was biting my toenails I was so nervous. It's common for people to wan't to take it to a pro installer to have an update done. But it's so easy once you've done it, you think "Crap!, why did I pay someone for this". (I never did)

  7. ok, boot into xell, type IP into webbrowser.. to get your cpu keys/KV

and either or xebuild gui or jrunner does the same ;-) and i was wrong, if you type IP into browser in xell, you can download your nand.. hmmm dunno why i thought "raw flash" was the program used to flash with USB lolol but it is your nand!!

As far as I know, you can put raw flash and your nand on USB to update nand in xell, so I think that is correct. But I only used xell once before and thought I saw the ability to dump it there. (I have a much simpler way of clicking read nand in j-runner on my demon)

I don't know now what to do once I recover my nand.... Cuz the last time I tried it my console wouldn't boot...... I had to take it to a shop to fix but this time I can't cuz i've shifted from my previous place and here there are no good and reliable shops... so I wouldn't take a further risk.....

i'm not gonna stear you wrong.. you have skype??

    or use this guide:

    http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/2205-xebuild-freeboot-nand-update-tutorial/

Let felida help you out, he knows his stuff, and that guide is very helpful. You should read it to learn what your doing before getting started so you understand better.

  8. Plus the fats aren't limited to usb 1.0 for the hard drive interface..

Not sure, I thought all phats were USB 1.1 and newer slims used 2.0. I tried that setup and ditched it quick because of cutscene stutter (God of War anyone?). Internal HDD on IDE has no stutter.

  9. I'm pretty sure it does AFAIK/remember lol.. I could be wrong.. My ps2 has been collecting dust since my PC HDD crashed a few months ago haha

Edit: I got a 64mb mem card, as those are like ~$8 on amazon

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00JA81WQE/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1434081955&sr=8-2π=AC_SY200_QL40&keywords=ps2+memory+card&dpPl=1&dpID=514kF33FTgL&ref=plSrch

I think the only thing I use my mc for anymore is system data/ULE data. So 8MB is more than enough. Got to be careful with those mc's too, there's a lot of 64MB clones out there that cause headaches. Guess they can't reproduce magicgate or something.

  10. There is virtual mc support in opl 9

I know, I use it. But I don't think it supports it over SMB

Edit: it may, my memory is fuzzy since I haven't been in the ps2 scen for a minute. But you can't beat the speed of internal hdd. Never a stutter on cutscenes.

  11. I believe you can get a router with a USB port, and just run the list of games off a spare external.. No PC needed ;-) read about people having success with it.. Just haven't tried it lol

Plus they have codebreaker that works with OPL as I have used that lolol

Possibly, but like I said FHDB fit the bill. It comes built into 1.93? And later. But SMB doesn't give you vmc support iirc.

  12. You can always smb share off the PC.. Works pretty good too, that's why I like slims, built in network haha

Yeah, that works well. Better than USB anyway. Not ideal for my case though, I don't like using up all that space on my lappy and don't like the extra routing to run it from my airport disc.

Edit: I think I didn't do it because I'd have to run the software from my win7 VM through my Mac to my network disc. FHDB was much easier... and OPL loses some functions

edit2: I bought my network adapter from gamestop for 75¢

  13. your console would go well with an extender kit totaling 6tb of shear heaven, downside is the panels not matching your plastic

    http://mag.divineo.cn/magento/xbox-360/x-tender-2.html

I wanted one of those, but then read about the guy taking fmcb code and modifying it but not releasing any code. Not only that but it seemed shady trying to get one. But they do look sexxxxy!

    Damn, double posted.

  14. i still think the fats were the better consoles i did have one till it packed up

I like the phats cause you can install Free HDD Boot and run them long after the laser goes out. I got the 50xxx cause I wanted IR remote.

  15. This one is a SCPH-75001 It's going to be a real challenge. I've already seen the install guide on it. Of course I won't attempt it until I know for a fact that this console works normally first.Didn't know you were looking, I upgraded to a 50001 so I have a spare

If I knew you were looking, I might have helped. Since I upgraded to a 50001, I have a spare 39001 and 70001. 70001 slim has a clear case and fmcb mem unit. 39001 has a bad optical out port, but has a network adapter for fhdb.

  16. Honestly, I have been really busy, I have only had like 2 hours in the last week to even play on my xbox, let alone post on the forums. I just moved back to my home town, and have been out applying for jobs all day for the last week. :( I hate looking for work, so I havnt had much time to check the forums, or reply. I do what I can, when I can. I havnt even looked at finishing up the cheat manager since I added FTP support, which I havnt even released yet, and that was like a month ago. :( I still have a lot of emulators to add support for, just havnt had time to do it, in fact, the only person other than me who has the version that supports ftp uploading of cheat files is felida, as he is my main tester for that. I guess swizzy has it also, as I sent him the source for the aurora db editor. I have no idea how that project is going, I did a little work on solving an issue that swizzy was having with casting a datatype as something else, as .Net is very strict, and sqlite isnt, but havnt checked in on that project either in a while.

Yeah, missed you lately, figured you had a lot on your plate. Hope it all comes together for you. Don't worry about releases so much, you know everyone wants, wants, wants. It's like you always say, it'll be released when it's ready

Not to mention there's been some great releases over the last month and a half, you guys are on fire.

  17. If you are copying on a few files sure ftp is the way to go but if you are copying on coinops mega pack for example  and  a few movies it can take hours to do this will be way better.

That's an 8 hour job on ftp. Anything that can speed it up is welcome. That said I will bow out of anything else related to CO or BP discussion unless it's on his site. Too much drama can ensue.

  18. I dont care to much about that, I am actually kind of happy it happened, after being here 5 minutes he was sending me PM's asking if I would/could make him a mod, or how to go about becoming one. lol. Not that it is up to me anyway, as the mods are created/chosen by the admins. It was something I was asked to do, not something I asked to do, but a responsibility that I was happy to accept. In my defense, at the time, my posts were all answering other peoples problems, and trying to handle stupid disputes between other users. lol.

Well that's just it, I enjoy this community a lot. I kinda thought the posts would be deleted, as I wouldn't want to muck it up too much. But Like I said, I felt bad after reading your clarification on what is allowed/not allowed. I didn't know it was going to lead him to cussing out felida though, that crap can stay out of here.

  19. Actually, he posted how to hack call of duty games in real time on the PS3 twice, hince why I erased the second post, as they were posted within 30 seconds of each other. We have no problem with hacking games in real time on this site, just using stealth. Now, undoubtedly that is what he intended, but that was more implied, and not out right said, so I let it slide. The way I see it, he might as well have posted a guide on writing trainers, which would fall into the spirit of this site(All things modding). The only reason we dont support live hacking/PSN hacking is because if we do we have a bigger risk of the devs getting sued for supporting it. ;) Hacking a game for offline play is a different story. Now your next question in line with this would be "Why dont we have trainers posted here, or a section of the forum for them?" To answer that I would have to say it is more because the Devs here dont create them, and we do support the aurora trainers to a certain extent, as they are designed to work directly with aurora, but you will always get better support for a piece of software from its developing team, then from us(Unless we developed it. lol.) :)

Thanks for clarifying gavin, I actually feel bad now for trolling out his thread.
