This thing looks pretty badass

Yeah, that's likely what's going to be, they port the games over to Xbox One (PPC64 -> x86_64) and that means that there won't be 100% compatibility, which is why i find this to be a bit disappointing, i would prefer being able to play the games as-is, but i know that this technically isn't quite possible...
I think you're right on the money there. Still, better some than none. Good news since they last announced no BC.
update: just read At Microsoft's end, all this will be made possible via a painstaking software emulation initiative.
All it takes is putting in a physical Xbox 360 disc, which then triggers a game download on the Xbox One. The feature will be available for everyone this holiday and it will have no service fees or charges.
The list... http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/backward-compatibility
-
Or a just fee M$ will impose on devs to release a game to the compatibility list
Idk, it may be kind of like BC on the 360 was with original titles, they made a pretty good list, but titles like some Prince of Persia games weren't able to be ported.

Same here, I haven't played link, i'm usually a campaigner. But I might play if I get a request.
-
System link games have to support it, if they do then it can be added. There is no taking of a random game and making it do something it wasn't designed to do. That's kind of like text messaging on a rotary phone, lolz.

Haha, was just going to post this. Good news from M$

Well, since Aurora is still beta, I have faith that Team Phoenix will have most all the features people want (within reason) by the time final release comes around. Until then, there's the manual way. Then again there's always FSD, No one saying you can't run both dashes, I do.

i believe it is the same issue people are having with the HUD modification, the locale being different from US, as the scripts and such cause errors when not set to US, as it confirmed connection to Aurora
That was going to be second on my list of things to ask right after disabling AV. I hadn't read about that issue in HUD mod, but I knew it was an issue with some trainers.
Ahh, ok. Yes I did read that.
-
Can you verify that your ip/user/pass are the same as Aurora
-
yeah i just posted on there.. asking if he will update lol, he is a member here also..
and it isn't an issue, as it automatically overwrites.. so i don't see the harm in it..
Yeah, I mean if you're uploading something, you kind of want to overwrite anyway... so.
Xamphear has been a member here since 2012, just never posted
I use Transmit (Mac) to do any FTP stuff. It let's me set favorites and all sorts of stuff you'd expect from a paid app. It works better for me because sometimes I want to merge a folder, and sometimes I want to overwrite.
edit: Again, I can't speak for him, but if I was going to update 360CM, i'd probably wait for Samba server in Aurora.

that is a content manager thing, not aurora.. but it automatically overwrites everything.. so there isn't an issue there
and it is up to xamphear to update that app.. but seeing as he hasn't in such a long time, he might be out of the game..
I can't speak for him, but he's much more active on his thread at 36Oi$o. But even then he hasn't posted since April 10th. spkleader has already posted about the overwrite issue there, so I assume he's aware.

or it could just be his TV period, as i have a lil sh*tty one that cost like $150.. it supports 1080p, but it isn't the best TV out there, and has some blur to it when moving thru menus and such.. PS2 on it is VERY bad lol at least with upscailing..
Very possible. I only mention the upscaling issue because recently I upgraded the main TV to 60" and even though my OSMC library looked great on my 42" in my room, the artwork was faded and bland on the 60". So I had to go back and upgrade my artwork from 720 to 1080 for aaaaalllllll my movies to make it look better.
Try GSM to upscale your PS2 games, or better yet OPL+GSM

Even if the TV is HD running at 1080p, Aurora only has a 1280x720 background. That upscaling may be what your seeing, as it may be noticeable on a large (60+") lcd.

If the print doesn't reduce the quality, then the issue is most likely somewhere after it leaves the xbox. Are you sure you have tried changing view mode on your tv/lcd to dot by dot or full etc.
If not that, maybe try taking cell phone or camera pics of both dashes to compare side by side

yes I use HDMI with 1080p quality
Where is the problem, that looks ok to me. Other than the fact your xbox appears to have some sort of Farming Simulator game installed.
BTW, press the back button to view background in all it's glory learned that while hunting for the easter egg

yes already configured it placed 1080P and another in freestyle quality background and in full hd unlike dawn: /
Can you post a screenshot, also would be helpful to know your setup i.e. HDMI, component or composite. Do you have a 1080p capable set? Is it fine in FSD but not Aurora. Maybe try reinstall aurora. Did you ftp transfer or load from a usb?
Are you talking about a background that you placed in the Aurora/Backgrounds/?
-
Check your settings in NXE and on your TV. Sounds like a resolution problem. Works great for everyone else.

A lot of people posting mod menu, DLC, and trainer patch problems lately. Is this not something that is supported where you originally got the file from? Just try to bear in mind that not as many people mod games here as they do on XPG, XYZ etc.

All of those items are already in Unity except fakeanim and windows media center (and they shouldn't be anyways). The only one that's on your list that doesn't show up is the ppsspp (maybe, I didn't see it), the rest are just waiting for you to upload your covers to Unity or use what's there. Just do your search on unity and rename according to the results. You can always rename again later after you've loaded the new artwork.

I've had my Xbox One since a month or so after it was first released, and i've used mine ALOT... i also have it in a very warm room... so... pretty sure it's a uncommon issue that a few unlucky ppl just happened to get...
Basically, it probably boils down to a bad batch of components... it happens to everyone
I'm usually not an early adopter just for that reason. I'd rather absorb peoples input and see if it's a good buy. To be honest, i'm really looking forward to the graphics upgrade for gaming. I could care less about all the media center extras, I have my Raspberry Pi (OSMC) for all that.
But i did hear a rumor about DVR coming to live tv on Xbone, so that might be worth using.

Been waiting on more reports on this to see how serious it is.
Haha... Microsoft. "We make consoles so happy to be turned on they splode."
But nothing new in the year since any of that was posted, so i'm not too worried.
-
Grats, I've been wary on them since I read an article about rupturing capacitors geysering electrolyte through the top vent.
I hadn't heard about that. Maybe I should've coughed up the extra $38 for extended warranty, eesh.
-
Yip enjoy mate i got a day 1 edition and i don't think iv turned it in since then
Haha, that's what i'm most afraid of. Luckily i've got plenty of other consoles to back it up.
-
So I bit the bullet and made my impulse buy of the year.

Xbone to play 360 games

Since the game is downloaded when you insert the disc (or available as DL if you had previously purchased from marketplace) they are not giving anything away for free. M$ is just doing their porting work to ensure compatibility. This is obviously a plus for game devs and gamers. I can see a lot of disc's being shared in the future though
