  1. I have a 1TB in my 360 without any partition part for xbox 1. With this guide am i able to get it to work without reformatting and or losing data in my 1tb hdd I have in my 360?

It only wipes partition 2 if you already installed it before, iirc. There's a post on the second page of this thread that confirms this. It works fine for me and others that have used it.

  2. I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but if anyone does get that update loop "System Update Stopped", the error message will contain a 24 digit error code broken into 6 - 4 digit codes. Take the second set of 4 digits and convert from hex to decimal and it will give you the dash version you must use to complete the update... Just sayin [emoji57]

  3. It's not really a new method, updating by USB has been around "officially" for a long time. Check the official Xbox website http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/system/system-updates-info?icid=furl_update. The only difference is that GXArena has all the updates, while M$ only gives you the newest update available.

Like Swizzy said, it's the same file that would be on a disc.

I just used this method the other day to fix a retail console that was stuck on a failed update to 12625. Worked like a charm

  4. http://gxarena.com/download.php/Firmwares/Xbox360/17349.zip <--- put this on a USB stick (unpack it) and you'll have the same update which would be present on a disc...

Lolz, I tried to give him the same advice in an earlier post. Maybe it wasn't clear.

My misunderstanding, makes more sense now.

You could always just install the sysupdate from gxarena and then if you still get prompts you know if it has a newer one, lolz.

edit: Looks like Xbox backup creator/Xbox Image Browser might let you grab just the file off your backup. Seems like a lot of work just to check the sys update on the disc.

  5. Press start and tab right 3x, disable AutoScan on whatever you please. I leave AutoScan enabled on TU's personally.

With Manage Paths disabled, you'll need to return to this same page to press Scan Now whenever you add a game.

That game folder in the root of your Xbox hdd is whatever is currently running, i.e. FSD, Aurora, 360 Game etc.

  6. So what could be done to solve this? Or is it really an ISP level problem like I mentioned earlier?

According to this http://documentation.netgear.com/wnr2000/enu/202-10397-01/wnr2000-06-10.html your router does have DMZ in the WAN setup page. I would try entering your Xbox IP in DMZ and see if it works. If it does work, then there is something wrong with your router configuration, if not then it's most likely ISP related.

@mrknorton, DMZ (demilitarized zone) removes all barriers and opens the configured IP to the rest of the world.

You might even be able to get away with leaving DMZ on just for Xbox, but i'd recommend only using it for testing, then disable it when your done.

  7. How?

Press start on your controller, then tab right (shoulder buttons) to Xbox Marketplace. It will be at the bottom of that window under select assets.

If i continue to have problems after a rescan on my xbla games I will. . Where is the database file located and which one is it?

Depending on where you installed your Aurora folder, it's generally found here... Hdd1/Aurora/Data/Databases/content.db

  8. Very strange it did not download Any covers for xbla only all my retail games. All my xbla games are greyed out on the covers.

After the retail game covers downloaded I assumed it would continue on the xbla cover download?

Should I remove the xbla scan path and create a new one and re scan all xbla games again?

If you want, you can upload your Aurora database and me or someone else can check it. Maybe something wrong with your path.

Yeah, you can remove the xbla scan path and scan it in again, might fix it.

  9. Also keep in mind there are 2 versions of GTA San Andreas, there's the Xbox 360 version and there's the Xbox version, i believe the Xbox 360 version is only available as a XBLA/GOD, don't take my word for it tho, i'll probably be proven wrong about that one as i don't really keep track of every game that gets released xD

Good point. Thanks for mentioning that Swizzy. If it's not 360 it would be a default.xbe

I don't have any of the GTA games myself, so someone could probably answer this guys question much quicker than me. But just trying to help, lolz.

  10. i can't understand :(

I don't know how else to ask the question. Do you have a folder filled with files? Do you just have one big file, if so what is the extension, .iso, .img, etc.

edit: That tutorial probably wasn't very helpful. This one might be better, http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/1911-gta-v-2-disc-problem/?p=18027 but still can't help with your extraction till I know what you're extracting from.

  12. Any electronic device can die early.. If not properly taken care of/cleaned haha.. But some parts can just fail.. For example.. The sheety ass controller they made.. Or the leaky capacitors.. Haha

Failing components is one thing, but the supplier of the onboard graphics is saying not to expect another 8 years, based on customers already asking what's next. That's what I'm talking about.

  13. I'll pass on any game where dude has to yell "wohoo" every single time he jumps. But the graphics looks great, even if they'll never run that smooth on a console.

I didn't like hearing the hype about a shorter life cycle on XBOne, that would be way too much money to put out on a console if it didn't get the same 10+ year run as the 360.

  14. Check your not with an isp that uses *me scratching head*,i can't think of what it's called but they rotate the ip to a different one every so often & no it's not scratching head method hehehe

    Dynamic IP ??

You can always check using whatsmyip.org or a similar service. If it never changes you're static, or you can call and check with your ISP.

@Corvo, when you say it's fixed, does that mean you set your Xbox to static, or set it through your router. If not through your router you may have an IP conflict.

  15. Hi there people.

Week ago I uploaded english version of the game to my hdd. And few days ago I got a russian version of the same game with the same title id. I deleted the english version with the file manager and upload russian. And on the Aurora's desktop I got two covers of the same game. I know that I can delete the game tools menu. But maybe we can somehow cteate some code or what we need...

If we delete folder with the game by file manager, then the cover deletes automatically. Because the people who know this sistem worser, can delete the new game from tool menu and if they dont have backup, the game will be lost.

Swizzy posted about that recently here... http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/6222-q-cover-of-the-games-arent-being-removed/?p=52779

If you delete it using any other method than through the game info screen, Aurora's database won't know it's gone.

So until 0.6b is released, you should delete games from the game info screen. There is a warning that pops up and tells you you're about to delete everything in that path, so not like it should be a surprise. If you're worried about deleting the game without a backup, either don't go deleting things, or rename the folder in file manager before deleting in the game info screen.

Swizzy is also working on an Aurora database manager, no idea when he'll finish/release that though.
