  1. If the tray opens on it's own it's likely caused by broken mechanical parts in your drive (it can't tell if it's open or closed properly)This have nothing to do with the NAND, it can however also be caused by a bad kamikaze attempt on a slim drive...

Had a similar problem on my daughters phat xbox, The tray once opened would not close properly unless force was used. The tray looked closed but the ROL would flash and then after 10 or so seconds the tray would open. Turns out that when I RGH'd it the drive was not seated correctly causing it to foul the facia.

My tray doesnt come out by itself its just that it displays opening message whenever its closed and the little light in the centre blinks bt it stays green and takes me back to xbox home during games.

    Cheers.

  2. I vaguely remember dealing with this before, try this:

open your tray and then, without turning your console off first, unplug your console.  Then, push your tray halfway in and plug in your console.  Power your console on.  When you do this it will suck your tray back in which I believe should fix the problem.  Then again, I'm going off of a memory of something I tried for a customer about 2 years ago so it might not help at all!  If that doesn't work, maybe try it with the tray fully ejected when you plug it back in.  Good luck!

Thanx I'll sure give it a try.

  3. Hey guyz ever since I got jtagged i can only play my games from both internal/external HDD with tray opened up(ejected) because every time I close the tray and try to play it gives "opening" message and this takes me back to xbox home and i lost unsaved game progress(very frustrating :chris: ). I usually power on my console by pressing home key on my wireless controller. Is there anyway i can get it fixed without opening my console coz its really frustrating to play games while tray is out(Urgent help needed).

    Cheerz.

  4. It could be many things, most commonly is that your computer is full of crap (old temporary internet files, adware, spyware, viruses etc. etc.) try clearing out temporary internet files... personally i use CCleaner for that... (you can find it for free on www.piriform.com)If this doesn't help, try checking for viruses using your antivirus software, and perhaps also malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Problem Resolved I had a G router thats y e'wuz buggin' me. Thanx mate anyway.

  5. Thanx guyz. There's one more problem but not related to gaming guess u guyz can help me sort this one out too.... Cheers

  6. Updating F3 doesn't delete your database/settings...You'll have to read up on your exact router how to do port-forwarding... there's guides how to set up LiNK on this forum :)

Thanx found the guide and now its just about setting it up i guess.

  7. I Guess, it's not like you shave off 20 years of use or anything like that, the difference isn't huge... you'll likely get another console before you have problems with the fans because you've used them at 100%... of course, having them run 24/7 at full speed will cause serious damage to the fans after a few years (compared to running it in normal speeds)...

Thanx once again, So plz tell me the ideal fan speed which will not damage anything while also keeping console cool. And suppose if anything happens to the fan will i have to change the entire console or just get a new fan?

  8. Ever since i got my console jtagged i havent gone online as im scared of getting banned but i have heard a few ppl sayin' that u can play online even after jtag or getting banned!! so can some1 plz confirm to me that is it true anh how its done.

    Cheers.

  9. One of the dissadvantages of having the fan running at full speed 24/7 is that you'll cause alot more wear on it then you would normally... meaning you're shortening the life span of the fan...

Thanks Mate. I usually get to play it 2 hours per day as i work and study is it ok then to have a max fan speed.

  10. Hey guyz, I have set my fan speed to maximum and noise is not a problem coz I always plug in my earphones,so are there any other disadvantges of max fan speed apart from noise which is not a problemo.

    Cheers all.
