  1. i think if you have a really old xell then you would need to put xenon.elf on the root of the USB and rename the updflash.bin to nandflash.bin (the newer xell has xenon.elf built in)

Thanks Alot bro I did it with your kind responses thank u so much, I also specially  thank """"" jinsta """""" who sent me this step by step tutorial http://forum.homebre...x.php?topic=144 . Thanks to every one who shared their experiences it really helped. One thing I noted that before this I was making updflash.bin by Xebuild & then rename it to nandflash.bin and it doesn't work but at last when i put my dump flash file in sourse option of Xebuild there I saw BIN Name: I directy rename that updflash.bin to nandflash.bin in Xebuild and then it generate nandflash.bin instead of updflash.bin then i also put xeon.elf file with it.This time i turn on xbox without putting usb prior to turn on. I turn on xbox by ejecting tray and when it was searching for xeon.elf file i put my flash and this time it worked.

  2. you could help by not posting the same question all over the board, your other thread you say "it worked" and then you say it hasn't so your very confusing.

make sure you have formatted your USB key to FAT32. and have placed the updflash.bin on the root of your freshly formatted USB key. (EXFAT32 windows 7 and windows 8 is NOT fat32)

Bro thanks for ur kind response, let me clear , I formatted my flash drive to FAT32 on "GUI fat32 formatter soft " as you suggested in one of your post then I put that updflash.bin file in the root folder of my flash drive. then I put that flash into XBOX360 and turn it on by ejecting tray, xell loaded Now its says "Looking for xenon.elf or vmlinux on USB/CD/DVD or user define file TFTP" and beneath this line there is another line which is saying " trying to load above files but its not founding so this line is repeating continously I wait for 30 min but nothing happened ,Please tell me what to do where to find that xenon.elf file, looking forward for ur kind suggestions thanks.

  3. great.... :)

Download xeBuild_GUI_2.091, (this version has dash 16537) then from there you can build your image, it's really straight forward, it will build an image for you that you can then put on a formatted FAT32 usb key. (you would put this file on the root of the USB key and then power your machine on with the eject and it should then update xell)

when you open the program, load your source file (your nand) then a little further down you load your CPU key... you should then see all green "ticks" along the bottom of xebuild... (this is the old way to do it but in your case sounds like the best way for now.) if you don't see all green ticks then don't proceed and report back.

Generate your image, this will make a file called "updflash.bin" copy this to a fresh formatted usb FAT32 key, stick it in your xbox and power it on with "eject" let it update.....

let me know how you get on with this..... ;)

Bro i did the same but in xell it mentions looking for xenon.elf or vilinux and beneath this "trying tftp ip address no answer from server" please help what to do

  4. So you have a console that you have neglected to update in far too long and now a 'certain game' has come out that requires you to be on the latest kernel (dashboard) to play. You have decided to use the new XeBuild update feature but by installing the latest dashlaunch on your very outdated kernel you have caused the console to no longer boot. DON'T WORRY, IT'S NOT BRICKED !!

First thing you need to do is boot the console into XeLL Reloaded, you can do this by powering your console on with the eject button. Once XeLL Reloaded has gone through it's boot process you will see that it lists an IP for your console at the bottom.

Make sure that your console and computer are connected to the same network, open a web browser on your computer and in the address bar type in the xbox's IP address. you will now be greeted with XeLL Reloaded's HTTP interface. In this interface you have the ability to download a full NAND dump directly from your console to your computer and also see your CPU Key displayed for you.

Now you can use these to build an UPDATED working FreeBOOT image with XeBuild or any other of the GUI tools that use XeBuild.

See additional tutorials available on this site for help with building an updated FreeBOOT image.

  6. Today I am going to show you just how easy it is to update your JTAG/RGH Xbox 360 game console with XeBuild's new built in updater. Thank you to the team behind XeBuild for your ongoing support of the xbox console and for always keeping us up to date, without you there would be no xbox 360 scene.

I encourage everyone to send a small donation to the XeBuild team at donations@realmodscene.com

First thing you need to do is download XeBuild, Dashlaunch, 16537 and the common packages posted at the bottom of this page. Extract the Dashlaunch package and in the extracted folder you will see a folder named 'Installer', move this folder and the default.xex it contains over to your xbox 360 HDD, USB or internal memory (anywhere you can access it using your F3 Filemanager).  Navigate to the default.xex in the installer folder on your xbox console and run the it.

This is the dashlaunch installer, it will prompt you to update as soon as it is launch as the version of dashlaunch on your console is older then the version you are running. Follow the onscreen prompts and it will install dashlaunch and shut down the console. Turn the console back on and load the dashlaunch installer default.xex again. You will be greeted with the Current Options screen, go down to the last option in the list 'Configurator' and click A to expand the menu. The 3rd option down will be 'updserv' and it will be disabled, enable it and leave dashlaunch running on your console.

Now go back to your computer and extract the XeBuild and common packages, take the 111 files from the common package and copy them into the 'common' folder from the extracted XeBuild package. Extract the 16537 package and place the '$Systemupdate' folder you get from it in the XeBuild 16537 folder.

Back out of the 16537 folder so you are now in the XeBuild folder, make sure no files or folders are highlighted or selected. Hold shift on your keyboard and right click in an empty part of the folder being sure not to click on any of the files or folders and you will see an option in the right click menu that says 'open command window here', click it.

You have now been greeted with a beautiful command prompt window already in the XeBuild folder just waiting for you to tell it what to do. Type in the following command

    xebuild update -f 16537

Press enter and stand back and watch XeBuild work it's magic! XeBuild will now read your NAND, create an updated freeBOOT image for your, flash it to your NAND and then apply the Avatar and Kinect data to your console. When it is done the console will reboot and you will be in the updated stock dashboard once the console loads up.

Now wasn't that easy?  Thank you XeBuild!
