The method use a SD card reader soldered directly to the nand pin. The only problem with this method is it don’t dump the spare data (each block consists of 32 pages, each page consists of 512bytes user and 16bytes spare, the spare contain block ID, some data specific to the page and a hash of it) which are discarged by the phison eMMC chip. By a fix with another nand (all is explained in their tutorial), you will be able to create a ECC image and launch XeLL. For now, you will not be able to launch a freeboot image untill the xebuild team update their builder.
