tmas333 0 Posted October 14, 2012 Upgraded to FSD3 a few days ago and everything has been running pretty great and really like the new features. I only have a few nit picks and a bug to report. SUGGESTIONS -like the idea of giving xbla games its own orange trim. Why not expand on this even further and create unique case colors for each type of game? Here is a example image I made so you can see how nice it would look... unfortunately the way you guys have it implemented now is by the game ID or something. Because if you move a XBLA game to another tab it will still have the orange trim. This isnt a bad idea but wont work if say you add purple trim for kinect games since it has no special signiture. So would be best to change the code of the skin so the boxart trim is decided by which location the game is in. Which falls into my next suggestion. Also remember the Xbox1 case was a darker green than 360s so dont use the same for both. - Make more game tabs! Primarily Kinect and Indie games. Ideally (atleast for me) the layout would go... DISC - Avatar/quicklaunch - X360 - Kinect - XBLA - Indie - XBOX1 - Homebrew. Now I know some people use emulators so I would also suggest making tabs togable and being able to change the order! That would be a really nice feature. -Another nitpick type idea that I feel would make the skin much better is changing the "Library" bracket to "Games". Also for the suggested Tabs that I mentioned above, give them proper names! If the library bracket is now called "Games" its redundant to have the tabs say things like "Xbox 360 Games" should just say "Xbox 360" and when you click the tab I suppose it would be ok for it to then say "Xbox 360 Games" although I would prefer for it to still just say "Xbox 360". This goes for all the other tabs. They all should have "proper" official names. "Kinect" "Xbox Live Arcade" "Indie" "Xbox" adding games at the end is unnecessary since we will already be on the "Games" row/bracket - YOU GUYS REMOVED THE "DATE ADDED" SORT OPTION FOR SOME REASON!! This was one of the most useful sorting options and is now missing for some reason (hopefully a mistake and not by design). If you are going to remove any sorting options please remove those worthless rating sorting options. I never use those and its just a couple extra presses each time I want to get to "Title" "Last Played" "Date Added" BUGS - One of the only bugs I've noticed so far is that the currently selected game's background wallpaper will disappear if you view the options (press Y). Also you will see a weird menu glitch when this happens. Probably an obvious bug thats already been fixed but thought I mention it anyway. Besides that everything has been pretty solid so far. In other words a recently played tab... funny you mentioned a recently played tab. when I was on fsd 2.2 one of the many tweaks I made to the skin was changing the little text from "latest games" to "Recently Played". If you cant tell I'm picky about small details lol. And yea using that tab as a quick launch for last played game was a great idea (use it all the time). And like your idea of expanding on it. make that tab have alot of uses like.... X=sign in/out profile. Y=quick launch last game. B=open up popup menu with last 5 "recently played" games" and about the boxart colors. I'd use red for emulators and black for homebrew. then everything would have unique colors.
