With target temp set, it is now around 60 to 65, I think that should be ok, else I will set the target temp even lower

All this time I been leaving dashlaunch in its default config (no launch.ini at all).

After reading around, I decided to set all the target temps to 60 because I noticed that during playing, the CPU temp rises above 65C.

The question is, do I need to override the fan speed? The default is set to 55.

It should be left auto right? Which means uncheck the option?

Wow this seems to be the easiest update tutorial I ever seen.

I have a question, it is stated it will also update freeBOOT image.

When using XeBuild GUI, there is an option for Build type, in that section, there is ECC (RGH1.x, 2.0) also for Freeboot. This is normally auto selected as we need to put in the backup nand.

In this tutorial it only says freeboot. But actually everything that is done automatically by Xebuild GUI will also be done while updating this way right?

I am asking this in case I mess things up as this require no backup nand.

I am updating from older revision of FSD3 to a newer one.

Anyway, it's true, no point of making it complicated, I'll just start a fresh installation

Let's say I want to update from FSD3 older revision to a newer one manually without using the built in update function.

Is it as simple as delete the old FSD folder, and put the new one in?

To keep the database, simply bring over the data folder. All done?

In the data folder, there is XlinkKaiData folder. Since it is replaced by link, that folder can be deleted right?

Another question is, will the built in update function remove all obsolete folder? Or it is similar to what is done by manual update?

I am aware there is a content editor which can remove and change a game into another section.

Is there a way to add a game entry into the database without using the console?

For now, when I rip the game cd and put it into the external hdd, gadabama won't see it until it is booted from the console. 

As long as the game is working, I won't be updating it too.

I am trying to update the FSD installer in the memory unit and the installed FSD in the HDD.

I think the steps I listed in the first post is correct, it's just I am afraid of messing things up lol. So I am trying to get confirmation

I have FSD 3 installer in the internal memory unit (4GB) and have FSD itself installed in the external HDD.

I want to update the installer in the memory unit and also the installed FSD.

1. Download F3Installer.7z, extract and replace repestive files in the memory unit (installer in MU updated)

2. Boot to NXE, launch the installer and install to external HDD (FSD in external HDD updated)

It is that simple?

What the difference between Freestyle3Rev58.TeamFSD.7z and F3Installer.7z?

I also noticed that the TitleUpdate (which I initially put in memory unit) also showed up in the external HDD FSD folder. Does that mean it is safe to delete the one in the memory unit?

Also, let's say there is new dashboard released, I just use the XeBuild to make the update file and flash it right? It won't bother the FSD and dashlaunch (provided it supports the newer dashboard).

It may not be revelant to this topic, does updating dashboard (kernal) different than updating avatar items?

What do you mean the TitleUpdates is resetted as well? It only happen when using GaDaBaMa to do something about TU right?

Thank you so much for this wonderful piece of software,

I just started to use this today and been downloading covers (sole purpose) as of now.

I copied the whole FreeStyle folder to USB drive, edit, sync and put it back to HDD.

All appears to be ok except the recent game list in the FSD is reset.

Am wondering is there any other FSD setting being reset or only the recent game list?

I am new to RGH itself so I am worried about messing FSD setting itself
