  1. *SIGH* okay, lesson learned.  In the future remember to back your shit up under the same Rebug version or else it won't work.  lol

Good thing I've got all my games backed up on my external USB, now I just gotta re-install all my games.... oh well.

For anyone who's curious - It appeared to have stripped some info. (or left some info out) leaving your backed up games undetectable by the new rebug.  I tested this by copying a game from USB to internal HD and discovered the game contents were placed inside a folder named: PS_GAME, so I figured I'd manually create this folder and place the game contents into it - NOPE, didn't work.  When I mounted the game disc it showed error: unrecognized.

  2. I upgraded from internal 320GB drive to internal 1tb Drive and updated the following in the process:

    multiMAN v4.84 HEN

    Rebug 4.84.2 REX – Cobra 8.1

HOWEVER, I forgot to do full hard drive/games backup when I was on REBUG_4.81.2_REX before doing the update and swapping to the 1tb internal hard drive.  So… I put back in the 320gb hard drive that was on REBUG_4.81.2_REX that had all my games and using the backup tool backed everything up onto a 500gb drive on the newly updated 1tb internal drive system running Rebug 4.84.2 REX.

After a successful restore, multiMAN v4.84 HEN for some reason is not seeing the games I just restored to the internal 1tb drive and is only seeing my external USB drive games (and only after having to manually refresh everytime).

The internal 1tb drive says there is 600GB left and I can see the games (all in folder format) are in the following file path folder:

    /dev_hdd0/game

I tried moving a game to /dev_hdd0/GAMES but that didn’t work either.

I also tried toggling COBRA MODE on and off, still no change.

How do I fix this so Multiman will see and load all my games from internal and external drives automatically?

  3. Sorry to say but it probably won't work because the internal drive serial number on it will be different from the new one you're trying to add it to.  I'm currently going through a similar process upgrading my drive to a bigger drive and I'm learning the hard way.  lol

What I did was took the smaller drive out and put in the bigger drive - make sure that the new drive is formatted INTERNALLY as it will ask for serial number of your console (found in system info) before formating (I know, what a pain in the ass).  Don't make the mistake *I* did by formatting it using any of the external USB ports.

Once you've entered your serial number, your new drive should be good to go.  THEN you can start the painful process of copying all your files from the old drive to the new drive.

hrrrmmm... in hindsight, I wonder if there's a way to simply change the serial number on your old drive so you wouldn't have to go through this whole process?  (I dunno, maybe something worth looking into if you're feeling adventurous)

    Good luck!

  4. hrrrmmm...  I signed up for discord and it's asking me to "claim my account" but when I put in my email / password it says email is already registered.  I don't get it.

edit:  nevermind, I didn't realize there was a verification link sent and it expired.  ooops

  5. hi guys,

Is there a better way to find other players other than just connecting via link and hoping someone is there to play?  lol

I guess we can check Unity's website too but just wondering how everyone goes about this especially if we're not able to connect to people on the other side of the planet.

I'm in Canada and my fav games are:

Red Dead Redemption - specifically undead overrun

    Ghost Recon Future Soldier

Resident Evil 5 - Merceneries mode

  6. UPDATE!

Okay, so tried reverting back to Aurora 0.6b to see if that would make a difference - NOPE!

So ended up re-formatting drive again internally (putting in serial no. for the drive - not formatting through external USB port)

Installed fresh Aurora 0.7b.1 hotfix again but this time only copied 3 games to test and bingo!  it worked, not sure why it didn't work before, 2nd times the charm I guess.

Currently copying the rest of the games as we speak.  Going to try copying in batches instead of all them all at once...  Should be done in a day or two.  will report back...

  7. YUP, I did that too.  Confirmed my scan paths.

    I'm using:

    HDD1/Xbox 360

    HDD1/XBLA

(In hindsight, does Aurora automatically detect whether the game is Xbox 360 or XBLA?  If so, I guess there's no need for me to separate my games into XBLA/X360 folders then-unless this is where I have to used modified filters?  It's been a while lol)

All the games are recognized on my Falcon RGH but for whatever reason, it's not being recognized on my Corona RGH.

I think I'll try a fresh install of Aurora on the Corona RGH, when I transferred it over originally, I tried to keep all the previous game art and title updates so maybe that messed things up?

I wish Aurora had a better way to handle existing Art and Title Updates without the need to re-download everything.  Maybe this can be a future feature to incorporate?

  8. Hi Guys,

I recently updated my HDD1 to a 2tb drive and it's got about 500 games on there and updated to the latest Aurora 0.7b r1622.  After doing a Scan Aurora was only seeing 1 game and not the rest, I found a thread on here about someone having the same issue and swizzy recommended deleting the data Aurora's folder but unfortunately it didn't work for me.

I figure maybe at this point it could be an issue with the hard drive itself so I ran the disk utilities downloaded from SEAGATE's site and ran the slow and long test (which took 2 days to complete) and the results said the drive was fine.

I'm stumped, not sure what else to do.  Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated!

Argh!!!  Figured out the reason why it wasn't being read on partybuffalo or Fatxplorer....   The drive was formatted via xbox external USB port so therefore, hard drive serial number was not on it.  Only way to format a blank drive and to have it function properly is to format it via xbox internal connection NOT via xbox external usb - it'll still format it but it won't show up when you hook it up to operate as the main internal drive.  When formatting internally it'll ask you to enter the consoles serial number (what a pain in the ass)  I wasted so much damn f#$^ing time!  oh well, live and learn!

  11. Gotcha....

More specifically about yesterday, I left my Corona RGH transferring games from my macbook to it and remoting in to my macbook from work.  I noticed the transfer stopped and it wouldn't resume or anything via FTP in Aurora.  This was the reason why I was wondering if there was a way to remotely shut down the xbox, I didn't want it running all day.

When I got home last night, I tried it again but using FTP in FSD instead and it seems a thousand times more reliable, despite alot of files dropped during transfer I'm still able to resume them upon numerous tries.  I'll keep doing this until eventually all files are transferred over.

Your problem is you are formatting it on your computer. Plug it into the xbox, and format it there. The xbox uses a modified version of the fat partition, called xfat, and since the xbox 360 is big endian, the partition type becomes xtaf. This partition type is not supported on actual computers, hince needing party buffalo to inject files into the partitions. It has to reorder the data and stuff like that.

The formatting I did on the computer was to test if the drive was messed up or not.  As for the actual prep for transferring the games, I DID format it via XBOX 360 NXE.  It's weird party buffalo and Fatxplorer didn't recognize it.  Oh well, I finished copying the files on my Jasper, took about 5 hrs for 300gb and I ended up with an error msg on Aurora after the end of it.  I'll check out the log when I get home tonight, will most likely do the transfer again via FTP once I pick up my power ethernet adapters tonight (can't wait!).  On my 2nd copy pass will merge the any missed files using ftp.

  13. I hope not, it's a brand new Seagate refurb!  lol

I didn't get any errors when formatting on my mac and nor did I get any errors running disk utlities on it.  So I dunno...  😅

I'm copying via my Jasper as we speak, will report back......

  14. Awesome - thanks for that GD!

I ended up re-scanning / downloading all my cover art on my Corona RGH before seeing your response.

As for my Jasper RGH, for some reason after reformatting my new drive via xbox 360 system prefs Party Buffalo and/or Fatxplorer are not recognizing the drive!  I don't get it, I've reformatted and tried prolly 5 times now.  Will prolly transfer everything manually within Aurora with how things are going atm.  Any ideas or suggestions?

Or, change the UUID of the hdd partitions in the db file manually. you will need to hook the hdd up to a computer, to read the current partitions uuid's.

Can you please explain how this is done?  To be specific, what program do you use?  where is the db file located?  What do you change it to?
