  1. so basically this is how it goes down when there are lots of people on link: we play and a guy fro uk says damn the system link is really slow today and i try it and agree and another person from italy sais the same, and on and on. but again felida ur the pro because u play 1x per week
  2. if i understand correctly this is whats happening: - when 30 players play they are changing rooms, kicking people, looking for the players in the room and everytime you refresh you induce stress on the system link server. - when 300 people play the stress on the systemlink server is 10x higher and thats why it is slow since it has trouble handling all the refresh requets - what will happen if 800 people connect and refresh?
  3. omg... so we are again talking about in game lag? we all know by now that this has nothing to do with system link loading. and i would like to stress out that my only concern is what will happen if 800 people connect and still no one gave me an anwser...
  4. if i play in the morning and there are 30 people online the system link is lightning fast. but when i play in the evening when 300 people are connected the system link is slow. so how can it be lighting fast when only few people are on system link if its an xbox problem?
  5. ok i will refrase it. there is a corelation between number of players on system link and the responsivness of system link. so more players online means more sluggish system link.
  6. yes i agree with you. thats why we kick and ban people that are from far away or have bad conection. but this thread is about how system link will handle lets say 800 people if its struggling with 300. i agree with all u said but that has nothing to do with systemlink itself
  7. yes because the cheap bastards didnt want to invest more in servers. its the same as the internet providers. they get a lot of customers even tho their hardware cant support them and than they cut everyones connection a bit because they are overloaded. in my oppinion the same is happening on xbl. 1 server can support x people for the system to be responsive. they just say screw you and put more than x people on a server so they can have more cash for themselves.
  8. how can it be my xbox and connection when there is a clear connection between the more players online, the slower the system link works?
  9. yes i am sure that microsoft would rage out if they would find out that realmodscene got 2000$ from the user that cant buy xbox one anyway :D 1h of the advocate would cost them 10x more than what they would be able to get from realmoscene what? so when there are 300 people online and i boot up my console and the system link is sluggish i should restart the game? when the system link is slow it is slow for everyone. so its not my xbox since it is slow for people that are playing 5h and for me when i just booted.and how come it is only slow when loads of people are playing?
  10. we usually play snd but np we can go ffa. this will be interesting.
  11. yes their server lags because of my xbox.. i agree the xbox is a bit outdated but still u can enjoy great games with friends. i wonder what server is used for system link. it may be that the server is outdated since the devs hat to pay for it from their pocket so that we can play.
  12. thats true... but then again i would not know if you are cheating or not (its 12:30 here now)
  13. i agree. the 33 players in a room can be fixed since its a code problem. but people constantly refreshing because they are changing rooms watching which players are in the room and kicking (u have to refresh everytime u kick someone), this in my oppinion can not be fixed by code. it can maybe be optimized but this induces load to server which causes system link to become ver unresponsive. and if even more people join it will only get worse
  14. i did not donate yet. but i would pay 5$ to play system link. and for legal reasons there may be a way around. we just have to think about it.so if we get around legal reasons, the only bad thing is that u think most of the players wont pay. but again. my question is what if the system link wont be able to handle all the people? we just shut it down? devs time wasted you read all my coments so you know that i bitched a lot about cheating. we dont need to cheat if u wanna join we will play for sure in 8h so 20.00 CET
  15. damn and i ws excited for a minute. oh well.. and clan wars are a lot of fun.
  16. you think you can take me on in bo2? 6 dragon members against u and ur 5 friends? cant wait for that and again we dont use password since its really hard to share it with people and we dont want to exclude players (only ones that lag or mod, everyone else is welcome to join)
  17. gavin stated that they are revamping the whole setup because of ancitipation of loads of new players. (thread nova the future of link, page 7) so developers will spend a lot of their time revamping the whole system and what if the hardware will be a hindrance (so the server wont be strong enough)? ur anser is let the devs revamp the system and buy new server? i read all ur replyes and u did not reply to my question at all... what will happen if the server wont be able to handle all the people? better to take action sooner than later.. and for god sake we are talking about 5$
  18. i agree. it is true. felida always shares his oppinion and i do appreciate it.
  19. i noticed :D when felida sees my name he starts to rage. so i said i am concerned how system link will handle so many players (so the loading of rooms) and u say that the ingame lag is not caused by system link. thank you for sharing that but you did not anser my question at all...
  20. this is a quote from moderator gavin_darkglider: Link will be around long after xbox live on the 360, just look at Xlink Kai, and the original Xbox, and that is when it will really take off. you think there are a lot of people playing BO2 on their rgh, wait until there is no more live.but again felida ur the pro. that is true. i dont know the capabilities of nova. if it will be able to handle all the people than i am happy. its all i wanted.this was just a suggestion. regarding the room with the password. i tryed to create a fb group so that we could share a password but it did not work out since most of the players just go to system link and play.
  21. so when more people join when live goes down the system link will be overloaded and it will load really long time and people wont leave link?and great that xb1 has backwards compability. but there are a lot of people that can not pay so much money. it seems that some wouldent even pay 5$ to play as u stated. common man i know that it has nothing to do with ingame lag. all i am saying is that system link is struggling to load rooms when 300 people are online. what will happen if even more join?and again ur the pro for playing 1x per week. idk how it happenes but it does. when u play, everyone gets disconnected and when u load nova it sais 33 players are in the room, then 1 gets kicked and it works normal again. i am refering to the loading of the rooms and not the gameplay. ..... like i said this thread is not about ingame lag. system link itself has troubles handling so many people and even more will join.and yeah that was an estimation. and in my oppinion it was a fair one.
  22. i was not refering to the ingame lag. i was refering to the loading of system link. and the devs themselves said that when live goes down for 360 that they expect a lot more people to join. what will happen then? yea let the devs buy new server with their own money. that really is a solution.. and i play every day and i hear people complain when it lags (when system link is loading really long). but u know more about what people say, because u play 1x per week and how did i come to 500 players? if there are 300 players at one time so ur saying that this is 100% of all link players? common there must be atleast 100 more that dont play at that time. so the reason for this is to get better server. and the reason against it is 5$ is to much?
  23. As has been said before next november (2016), xbox live for 360 will stop. so xbox live players will have the option to upgrade (which is not an option for loads of people, because its not cheap), or mod the console for few bucks and come to system link. if only 1000 people join (i think the number will be much higher, since there are loads of people on live), my question is how will the system link handle them all? when there are 300 people playing on system link, it becomes sluggish and it chrashes sometimes. i am not complaining, since it is free and i am really thankfull that i can play. so what will happen if 800 people play at the same time? my solution to this is that every player chips in for better experience. i think when nova comes out it should be payable. NOW BEFORE YOU GUYS START THROWING STONES AT ME (as it was the case in my previous thread), PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END. i saw atleast 300 people online on system link, which means there have to be atleast 500 system link players. and when xbox live goes down a lot more will join. so if you guys charge 5$ for 1 year of NOVA and if 400 people pay, that would be 2000$ in the year of 2016 year, and at the end of 2016 when xbox live goes down if only 1000 people will join, this means 7000$ in the year of 2017. and if black ops 3 for xbox 360 will be a great game the money collected in 2017 in my oppinion could be atleast double... with the money collected, developers could buy a waaaaaay better server and better internet connection. and because of all the extra power that the server would have, nova would load really fast and they would also be able to implement many other features (i know they are only few developers, but after nova is released, features can be added when one at the time). and in 2017 if the amounth collected would be a bit higher they would be able to keep some money, because they spent countless hours coding for free. there are some players that cant pay and to get new players we have to lure them to system link. so my idea is to make all 6 public rooms free forever, but you have to pay to create or join private rooms. this way new players will be able to test system link and if some players really cant pay, they still can play in public rooms. with new servers there is also something that we would be able to do to, keep the number of players high. there could be an option (that is enabled by default, but can be desabled), that when, you launch a game and try to connect to system link, the system link would check if there is a title update, dlc or some other patch (like in advanced warfare) and it would say: "there is an update for the game. do you wanna update?" and if you press yes, it would download all those files (idk if this is possible, its just an idea, please dont throw stones at me ). because now a lot of people gave up on advanced warfare, because they did not know how to install the patches and also on black ops 2 there are a lot of players on title update 0. still not convinced that this is a great idea? there are a lot of system link players that play A LOT and everyone is complaining when system link is loading long time or when you get disconnected (when 33 players are in a room) and when it doesnt work. you guys play countless hours on system link. and god damn 5$ A YEAR for all that you get from system link is really nothing compared to what you get. and also if some money is left from the fees collected atleast the developers could buy themselves a beer or coffe or do you think they dont deserve it? all in all for 5$ PER YEAR, you could get a super fast system link, and a lot of new features which means better experience for everyone. 5$ = 5 beers 5$ = 0,5l vodka 5$ = 2l wine 5$ = 1 YEAR OF SUPER FAST SYSTEM LINK sorry vodka i think i will choose system link this time
  24. yeah sorry i was thanking all the devs for all their work in caps because i want to really stress out that i am truely thankfull for what u guys have done for us. and god damn hackers always have to ruin all the fun
  25. we do not complain about the lack of developers. we just say there are only few. we respect all the work you do for us. since i am not a developer and i contribute a shit to the developement i have no right to bitch about it. we just state it as a fact. we are happy we have the ones that are willing to code so that the system works. for the blacklist, atleast people that live close would have similar block list and there are atleast 50 people that just lag on any host because they have 0,1mb connection or wireless or 10 people use their internet or some other reason. so that was the motivation behind that. motivation behind smaller rooms was so that even people with 1mb upload would be able to host and offer my connection to others. this way me and others with 0,5-1 mb upload connection would not leach others people connection. and i do get that we can make a room with password and share it with friends, but i dont want to exclude people with good connection. there are 350 bo2 players and lets say 200 have a good connection. hard to share the password with so many people. this were only suggestions and ideas. i am not demanding anything. and again my intent was to think about how to make nova better and if the idea is not possible because of xbox 360 limitations i understand it. can i ask why u wanted to shut down link? I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE DEVELOPERS. I ENJOJED COUNTLESS HOURS ON LINK AND I FOUND A LOT OF FRIENDS. THAN YOU.
