  1. Nice, works like a charm on mine.

Does anyone know how to make Turok run without crashing after some time? Because you can start playing and see that the game has a good framerate and it's working fine, until it crashes.

I put "AccurateTextureMapping=1" on the Turok part of RiceVideoLinux.ini, like the other Turok titles have, and it kinda gives the game a better performance (the title screen doesn't stutter for a second anymore), but it still crashes after some time playing.

  2. You can turn off the blinking with a xeBuild option if memory serves me right, i don't think there's a patch to disable the dvd entirely tho

Lol, I could swear that there was an option to disable the DVD, now looking at XeBuild Gui I think I confused it with the "disable HDD" function :p

The thing is that if the drive is opened then I get pulled out from a game, so I think the best solution would be to disable the eject button, so the cable wouldn't be able to send an "open" signal? I can see an option for that here on XeBuild Gui

And talking about XeBuild Gui, if I select an option on "XeBuild settings" do I need to fill the blank options (Game region, DVD region, Temperatures, Mac Address and DVD Key) or it'll automatically save the configuration that is already on the nand?

Here's a picture to what I'm talking about:

  3. So I don't understand this. Can I change the Title ID of a XBOX 1 game that is buggy or doesn't work with a known working one and that may allow it to work correctly? I have launched ODDWorld Strangers wrath for instance and it runs but some of the Text is garbled and what not. I wanted to get 187, XIII, and Robotech to work if possible. Let me know if this is the correct thinking behind getting them to work and which tool I should use to edit the Title ID.

    Thanks!

Yes, maybe it'll work, maybe not

But Stranger's Wrath doesn't work with any Title ID, I dunno about 187, XII and Robotech though, you should try it

    Thank you for this information!

It is so hard to find informations about xbox1 emulation on a xbox360 (rgh/jtag) wich are not from 2007 or 2010.

I try for weeks to run "Harry Potter - Quidditch World Cup".

Patching the xbe with different patcher not worked and also not the PAL or NTSC version. Every game crashed at the same time.

Can you tell me something about the file structure of the hacked emulator from 2007?

What are the xefu*.xbe 's for? I rename them in a circle-method (xefu7b.xbe to xefu.xbe, before xefu.xbe to xefu1.xbe etc). The result was that some xbox1 games run like before renaming and some not. My "Harry Potter - Quidditch World Cup" crashed in some cases earlier on the xbox-logo. Once it crashed in a black screen.

I thought the different xefu*.xbe stands for the different profile types, when I read your post.

Yes, the xefu files are different compatibility profiles and there's a database file that point a game to run with each xefu, like Action Game 2 uses xefu.xex, Bycicle Game uses xefu3.xex

Renaming the xefus made the game run with the xefu it was made to run (I think games that aren't compatible run through xefu7). So, you renamed xefu3 to xefu7, and since the game is supposed to run with xefu7 it runned the xefu named xefu7, even if it isn't xefu7 lol I hope you understand what I'm trying to say

The database file points the xefu to run the game through the Title ID from said game. So, let's say Action Game 2 uses xefu.xex and you want to test Bycicle Game with xefu.xex, so you change the Title ID of Bycicle Game with Action Game 2's title ID and it'll run with xefu.xex. Again, I hope you understand what I'm trying to say, I'm not very good at speaking english

  4. My 360 is having some problems with the DVD drive: the power-on light starts blinking like it's going to open the thing to put the DVD, and I suppose it's sending a command to open the DVD since it started blinking when I was watching something a while ago, and then I opened and closed the DVD and the lights stopped blinking.

I heard that the cable that's responsable for opening the DVD goes crazy because of dust and stuff, so I think this is the reason. But I'm too lazy to open my 360, so here's the big question: if I deactivate my DVD drive through XeBuild GUI, it will not be possible to the DVD drive to go crazy like this, right? Because since there's no DVD, there's no way to the cable to send a command to open it, I suppose?

  5. Indie games have problems with the screenshot function, so it would be nice to have an option to deactivate the screenshot combo to all indie games, and some games like Pac-Man Museum have start + back as a control (I know I can change to other keys, but this one is the better), so it would be nice to be able to deactivate the screenshot combo for selected games too!

Just saw the thread about a guy wanting to deactivate the screenshot function and had this idea, I suppose someone already said something about the screenshot and indie games but no one made a thread here

  6. "Swizzy" had whipped up a program that basically does the fix for you. It patches the compatibility pack so that you don't screw it up, haha. He posted this program in another BO3 thread on this site. So that is what I used.

So maybe it has something to do with it... I played yesterday but it didn't happened, it's weird

Did you had this problem again?

  7. Probably not, we've tried to get it working the way we want, but it causes issues with network sockets for some reason- so we're gonna hold off until its 100% ready.   Sorry!

It's fine, me and the 3 other people that uses the Samba Server can still open FSD to use it :p

Thank you, and keep up the good work! :)

  8. Where did you put it? did you rename it? (it should be named xell-2f.bin if you use that file, i think you need to use xell-1f.bin otherwise, doublecheck the readme to make sure you use the correct one for that version of XellLaunch)

I know I was running this one because when it booted to Xell the version and release date was shown (2015-don't remember the rest), so I'm sure I did the right thing

And when Mupen64 was opening, before the "fat mount uda0" error it detected the DVD drive

I'll try again and see if something changes

  9. I've attached a experimental build that a friend of mine built for me, it uses newer versions of GCC (The compiler) and newlib (a library used) his nickname is smx, if you ever talk to him, say thanks ;)

I briefly launched it using xelllaunch to check that it works on my MMC Corona, and it does, other than that it's not tested much, it shouldn't cause any damage or anything like that, worst case scenario is that some features don't fully function properly, but i don't see that happening at this point in time :p

Replace the XeLL files in xeBuild GUI and rebuild your nand, or use XeLLLaunch included with the latest dashlaunch (found here: http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/4616-dashlaunch-314-17150-kernel-support-added/ ) if you want to try it

The file used depends on your console, but most likely:

    xell-2f.bin (JTAG) or xell-gggggg.bin (RGH)

If you use it with xelllaunch just put xell-2f.bin (as it is) next to the default.xex and launch... otherwise replace the following in xeBuild GUI:

    files\xell\Xellreloaded_jtag.bin <--- xell-2f.bin

    files\xell\Xellreloaded_glitch.bin <--- xell-gggggg.bin

Is this supposed to work with Trinity or only Corona? Because it isn't working here :(

  10. haha.. just know you signed your rights away joining the insider thing.. as all fook ups will happen to you.. while us regular users wont get the updates that cause y'all problems

I got out of it yesterday, hehe

If anyone's interested, you can enter the Insider Program through the Windows Update section on the settings menu, just take a look around :p

  11. I was hyped for the release of the new system at 29th june, then I saw it was going to be released at 29th july lol

Then I entered the Windows Insider Program to install the beta, and now I have the RTM build for some weeks because we got it sooner (10240 I think)

It's running good on my faptop, I think it's even lighter than Windows 8.1, and that's good for someone like me who don't have the best PC ever but a functional one to what I need to do

  12. Something to change the resolution on the fly for some games would be good, like starting an OG Xbox game and it goes to 480p, and then when you go back to Aurora the resolution returns to 1080p

Some games like SoulCalibur 2 only have widescreen in 480p mode, and some games run better at this resolution too

EDIT: one more thing, a timer so we know how much time we're playing a game, it's kinda useless because if you count your gaming time to post on HowLongToBeat or something you already have your means to count the time, but it would be cool to have

EDIT 2: if I needed to choose what resolutions I wanted in this option, it would be 480p and 1280x1024, so I could play games that run better at 480p and stretch the image on my TV with 1280x1024 so I can patch some games with FOV hacks to 16:9 (my TV doens't have some fancy stuff like croping the black bars)
