Great!. I know this isn't an "Exploit" but still.. With Gligli on the team I know it's in good hands. Man, I hope something comes from this, Dev mode is fine I suppose but it's still very limited right now, the Xbox One scene could be so much more. It's lagged way behind the others of this Gen, which is sad because Xbox tends to be the more active usually. So here's hoping this is the start of something good

GliGli? wasnt GliGli one of the people who originally hacked the 360? This is very good news, my Xbox One was feeling abit neglected recently :P Hopefully this goes somewhere. I'll definitely be keeping up with developments :)

Update.. Retrix has fixed an annoying bug that caused the Cores to crash randomly. Now the bug has been fixed it's the goto Emulator for your Multi-System needs on Xbox One
He has also created a website https://www.retrix.me/

The PS1 Core has been added to Retrix It's too slow on Xbox One though for some reason and the Dev's not sure why atm.. Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

I suppose there are ways to get it for free but having them cost money at all is sad
I've also heard it's possible to get a dev account for free too (without being a student) but since I already had my dev mode activated, I never looked into it.

It's now possible to install and play Emulators on the Xbox One with "Dev Mode" (These Emulators were available on the Xbox Store but were pulled after a while, hence the need for "Dev Mode" to be activated..
How Developer Mode works
QuoteXbox One has two modes, Retail Mode (1) and Developer Mode (2). In Retail Mode, the console is in the state that any customer or user of an Xbox One console would use: you can play games and run apps as a user. In Developer Mode, you can develop software for the console, but you cannot play retail games or run retail apps. Developer Mode can be enabled on any retail Xbox One console. After Developer Mode is enabled, you can switch back and forth between Retail (2a) and Developer Modes (2b).
Dev Mode costs $20 or is free if your a student (with a student E-mail account) You can get More information on how to activate Dev Mode here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/xbox-apps/devkit-activation
Now on to the Good Stuff
What currently works on Xbox Dev Mode:
Nesbox is a multi Emuator that supports NES (.nes), Sega (.gen .smd), Super Nintendo (.smc), GameBoy (.gb .gbc .gba)
Retrix is a multi Emulator that's ported from Retroarch (so expect more supported Cores) that supports: NES, Snes, GB, GBA, SG-1000, Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive and Mega CD. (and hopefully soon PS1)
https://github.com/Aftnet/LibretroRT
PPSSPP is a PSP Emulator that runs very well (most games run fullspeed)
There's also a N64 and PS1 emulator too but the authors require you pay for them
All apps run in dev mode are in the format Appx, so other Appx compiled to run on Win 10 should be installable on Xbox Dev Mode Too.
If you want more info or if you stuck anywhere you can get help from: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-install-retrix-retroarch-libretro-port-for-xbox-one.474453/page-8#post-7415449

Something new to play with Is there any chance there will be a media center integrated in to this in the future? the 360 could really use a homebrew media player
Thanks guys.

Ced's looking for someone who can make a gui for his PSP Emulator, so if anyone can help goto his blog.

you main psp.iso ? it's a game i must donload ??or what ?
No. Just rename whatever game you download to PSP.ISO (make sure you don't rename it to PSP.ISO.ISO by accident) and put it in the same folder as the Default.XEX
-
i hv this problem too
Make sure your ISO is named PSP.ISO and in the same directory as the default.xex
