rampage 3 Posted May 11, 2018 Hi, I've a Jasper console, it has RROD, code is 0001. It shows RROD immediately when switch button pressed, fan is not spinning. The PSU has Orange indicate, whether the console is turned on or not. So I've taken it apart and tested the power source spots: Standby 5V present. When turned on, 12V is not there. Standby 5V, 3.3V, 1.8V present. When turned on, 12V is not there. Standby 5V present. When turned on, 12V is not there. So according to the test result, I guess the PSU and MOSFET are fine. It might be the cpu needs to be re-flowed? Any help will be appreciate. Cheers, R
Dam native Nz 0 Posted May 11, 2018 .Is your psu the right unit for your jasper 360?... .Have you tried another phat 360 psu if you have a spare I don't think it's your cpu Jaspers should never RROD unless your console is in a small confined place & your weather is hot I think it's your psu. Not pushing the right amount of power to console because it's cluttered with dust ect. So if you have an Air gun & compressor use it to clear dust out. Or just do what I do & blow it out with my lips over psu vents you will be surprised what kind of shit comes out the other ends of the psu air vents. rampage 3 Posted May 11, 2018 Thanks for the reply. It is the 150W PSU for Jasper. I guess it could be the PSU can't supply enough power while turning the console on? Because the standby voltage are ok. Unfortunately I don't have another PSU or console could test them.

Try what I stated & blow into PSU vents to push out the excess dust that's in Psu I had same problem & it worked after that....
rampage 3 Posted May 11, 2018 Yes have tried to clean the PSU with compressed air, no go. I give up on this one, buy another one is really cheap compare the time needed on this one. Thanks anyway.
devilhunter 11 Posted May 26, 2018 use a different psu, or test it with a different console. RROD 0001 can result from a short (CPU/GPU). In some extreme cases, some consoles shipped with RROD 0001 ( dead gpu or cpu). Spend 30$ on a used jasper (most prone to failures) hell I bought mine for less than 10$
Swizzy 2083 Posted May 26, 2018 0001 can be a short anywhere on the motherboard, did you do any soldering on the board? Remove everything that is attached to the console and try to boot it
rampage 3 Posted May 27, 2018 Thanks guys. I've gave that console to other people for parts so no way to test it now. No I didn't do any soldering on the motherboard. Also I tried to reflow the GPU and CPU a bit but no difference. It's more likely the PSU is the problem I guess.
