you can look at the mindex.ini yourself and figure it out..

Well, yes, except I have no idea what I'm looking at in the ini file. :)

Ok, I'll have to make the legit one first because I deleted all the music from my 360.
And then I'll make one using the tool but with maybe 50 tracks so I know it doesn't crash. Would that be useful?

Here's the one created by the program: mindex.xmi

Now I can't seem to get the 360 to read my burned disc. I'll have to get back to you with the one generated by the console.

hmmm.. ok so editing it manually is out of the equation.. lol..

Yes. Probably.

When you rip a disc to the 360, the files get labelled Track 01, Track 02 etc etc etc.
Do you know what happens when you then go to rip a new disc? Does it overwrite the last ones? Or does it go "Track 01(2)" "Track 02(2)" .

Any idea?

I burned one CD-RW repeatedly until I got all the music on there. By making sure I named the albums for what they'd be used, I was able to create the playlists I needed without caring that there were several 'Track 01' in the playlists. You don't see the titles of the songs in the game anyway.
