Too many bad blocks on semi modded trinity

Recommended Posts

i am trying to finish a RGH to what i beleive is a trinity, jasper 16mb (so jrunner tells me), that i have not touched for over a year so not sure what point i got up to, there was a CR RevD installed that i had disconnected for some reason. So i went through the motions and am trying to dump the nand, here is the log...

I know for a fact that if i had done the RGH on this then i would have saved the output folder to my server as i do with every console, the fact that i cant find it for love nor money would suggest that i hadn't dumped the NAND but then why would have i installed the CR ? Also i have a jrunner and i have tested the J2C1 & J2C3 points to the jrunner from the backside of mobo to assure i am connecting with the points and not to the wire going in, i have good continuity. Is that safe to say the soldering is ok ?

My next port of call is to use a doner NAND to get back up and running, follwoing the guide below from here below.

but i am getting an error, my jrunner is not connecting to update so i imported all the dashes directly into xexbuild GUI and started to follow guide, alas i am getting an error, below.

The bad block errors like that are usually bad wiring, or a bad nand. Possibly a southbridge issue also, but this ties into wiring(Needs reflowed). As for the xebuild error, you are probably missing the SU file from the 17511 update from microsoft, which has all of the cf_<dashversion>.bin files, and is required to build a new nand image. You can download the required file from gxarena, which is one of swizzy's sites, assuming it is still up, or you can download the USB update for 17511, and extract it from there.
