It looks like a retaining clip. Its the first time your Xbox 360 was opened  ?

Maybe your 360 was opened in the past, and someone have forgotten, or has left behind the clip.

in the words of the retail shop

it's only been opened once

in Microsoft hong kong to install the glitch 2

could this pin make a problem for the hdd through out the time

and i had a lag issue with games cutscenes only fixed temporary by erasing cache from hdd

I can't remember ever having seen these retaining clip in a hdd case. I suspect that someone has left this clip. It does no harm, if you remove it.

There is no such thing as a Retail Microsoft shop that installs RGH 2.0 in consoles...

was the HDD a Slim or Phat? slim - it could be part of the mechanism that holds the HDD in place while in the console, you pull the fabric thingy and it may have been a part of that...

You should NOT leave that in the hdd as it may cause a short if it ends up somewhere on the PCB

the retail shop said that he had contacts inside Microsoft and they installed the rgh then he imported a bunch of them

he might be lying but the console is imported from Hong Kong

and it's xbox 360 E 4gb but it had a Slim hdd in it which im holding

as for the fabric thingy that allows me to pull the hdd it came out so i opened the hdd to reattach it then i found the pin on this black part of the hdd

which is magnetic btw

so now do i remove or put it

i already removed it but do i put it back

Its high unlikely that Microsoft installed JTAG/RGHs in his own consoles. Its maybe a  (service) Company/Shop that is closely related to Microsoft.

  • Thanks 1

How ? In a easy manner ? See below...

Microsoft Honk Kong is very Cool to install a RGH lol
If so then you should them ask why they spent their money to produce the Corona V7 Winchester motherboard ?...

In no manner. There is no paperclip anywhere. Only a spring tied to the HDD's tab to raise the hook that holds it to the rack when you want to pull it off.

For sure.

If it's a Xbox 360 Slim E 4GB then it can't be an official HDD.
There are NO Xbox 360 4GB with an official HDD.
The latter are Thermo molded (and\or glued) and you've got a pain in the a..to remove them from they're case. I bet you removed your HDD case in an esay way don't you ? xD

Either your lying Pseudo MS RGH Honk Kong Shop left dragging a papperclip near a HDD they prepared for you in a dirty area and magentisim force won or it's your bad that you picked up this papperclip in yours.

I repeat. It can't be an Official MS HDD Case. They're sealed.
If you don't belive me just take a look at the underside's sticker.
There's musn't be any mention of Microsoft anywhere ;)
