Updating to new dash: avatar data

Just updated my xbox dashboard. I have the $SystemUpdate folder but for some reason it wouldn't transfer to my external HDD. Any other file gets transferred properly but the SystemUpdate folder just freezes Windows explorer.

A USB gets the transfer done. But the XBOX doesn't detect the system update folder. Probably a whole 'nother story then?

Make sure to have both $$ystemUpdate and $SystemUpdate on the usb and boot with it in, also try to start a game (might help to trigger the update)

I have the same problem... XBox doesn't detect that the USB has an update.
Any suggestions?

Your USB Stick is fat32 formatted, did you try another USB Stick ?

Just tried another USB-stick.
Formatted both, the first one I tried with and the second one in FAT32 just in case, but still no detection.

Must I be in a certain meny for it to detect an update?
I've googled it and I haven't found any information of this. "Just plug the USB stick in and the console will automaticly update"

You updated right? First thing updating to latest kernel version.. And also make sure the avatar update is meant for your dash version..
