Github or similar?

Swizzy: Thanks for making XeBuild GUI open source.

I realise the source is supplied in a rar with the binary, but have you considered using github or similar to host it, and using their issue tracker and fork/pull-request system etc.?

Am I right in saying that XeBuild itself is not open source?

I've been thinking of doing that, but i don't really want to do so for v2.x, i rather do that for 3.x once it's working properly... most of it's functionality will be borrowed/loaded from x360Utils tho

And yes, xeBuild itself is closed source, and will remain so for quite some time most likely... the author behind it has put ALOT of time and effort into making i what it is right now...

** Edit: **

In case you're wondering what x360Utils is... here it is: https://github.com/Swizzy/x360Utils

I'll also be adding some other cool stuff from this library: https://github.com/Swizzy/x360NANDManager

Thanks. It would be good to see XeBuild open source too, but I understand you don't speak for Team xeBuild. I am a great believer in open source driving things forward (many eyes, etc.), and I don't think it would diminish Team xeBuild's input into the work.

In the absence of XeBuild GUI yet being on github, what is your preferred issue reporting method. Email, as mentioned in the readme in the rar, or posts on this forum, or something else?

Probably the forum, that way others can help you solve issues that aren't bugs, and it means there's less e-mails sent to me about bugs

Altought, i don't really work on xeBuild GUI 2.x anymore, i only really re-compile it with a new version number and update the package whenever there's a new xeBuild/Dashlaunch released...

The reason for this is that xeBuild GUI 2.x is a HUGE mess, and i've been working on a brand new version which is way way better... however, i kinda lost my motivation for working on it a while ago, the current version works, but it doesn't have all of these new cool features i was working on... but, i also see alot of ppl stealing my work, releasing unofficial versions and i see ppl asking me for help with them, they don't understand that i don't offer ANY support for unofficial crap... i also see alot of ppl complaining about stupid things...

Very very few ppl actually thank me for the time i've spent working on this, making it what it is today...

Thank you very much for your work on XeBuild GUI, Swizzy!

Rather than start a new thread, I'll report the little bug I noticed, which is only cosmetic. You've got the text "MAC Adress" when it should be "MAC Address".
