BeatB 0 Posted February 12, 2015 Nice info. Thanks. But I want to add a cover myself to the Aurora database. Does anyone know how to manually add covers? For example I have red dead redemption and the game undead nightmare (usually it's a dlc but was released as a complete game), they have the same media ID, so if I choose to change the cover from unity it will update both games. But for undead nightmare I want to add a different cover. Appreciate any help. Thx.

Check your database, set the cover you want for one of the games, copy the data from that game (as found by the database) then push the cover for the other of the games followed by putting the old files back

I guess the bin files I can replace, right?

Yes, one of those files contain the cover data, i don't remember the name of it, but... just replace the file for the game you want, the format is TitleID_DatabaseEntryID for the folders

armantaleser 25 Posted June 1, 2015 a silly question. Why do we need to resize the picture. Why not cut and paste and put behind each other so that it will show up correctly?
Swizzy 2078 Posted June 1, 2015 a silly question. Why do we need to resize the picture. Why not cut and paste and put behind each other so that it will show up correctly? You can either resize, or you can cut the cover image then place the overlay on top... most likely you'll want to resize it tho... Aurora's built-in asset conversion only supports covers of the size 900x600 right now (900 pixels wide, 600 pixels high) for that reason we implemented a limit on xboxunity which makes it only accept covers of this size so they should always work

QuattroGam3r 508 Posted June 10, 2015 is there any template beside this one? Templates are a funny business. A lot of people don't want to share them because of all the work they put into them. You can find them out there, but it's difficult, many sites want to charge memberships for access, then not let you have access till you have enough points accrued. I think it mostly revolves around copyrighted images and the work people put into them. But if you search xbox 360 cover template on google, you will find them out there for free. edit: Used to be able to get the templates on JQE before it switched to unity, not sure what happened to them though. I'll make use of it, thanks for the share. Lot's of good layers in there and a nice back cover setup. Opens in Gimp too! Here's the one I hodgepodged together for my own use (uses Gimp xcf format)... How do I upload covers for Indie games? and next (this is more of a request) Aurora already use 3 colors Kinect - Purple Retail - Green Orange - Arcade *** Blue - Indie Games (request) First the indie games has to be added to the Xboxunity database, they should be found the same as normal games, if not, tell me the TitleID and title name and i'll see about adding them there... Once they're in the database, you can upload them just like any other cover

Could you please add : name: 2012 ID: 58550BB0 It takes as long as one of the admins or moderators to approve your covers, which can take anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of days, depending on how busy we are with other things (life in general) i try to check in once per day atleast, but sometimes it takes longer then that... I've approved all your covers i could see at this time, and i've added the game for you
