XeBuild Update Server "Error: Bootloaders retrieved from console are inconsistent"

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm having an issue with the bootloaders retrieved from the console being inconsistent? If anyone has any ideas how to fix this it would be much appreciated.

Can you dump your nand using Simple 360 NAND Flasher so we can run tests? this is a xeBuild bug which we need to fix, but to do that we need to get sample data from when it goes wrong...

I am unsure why this console is getting this error when using the update server on the newest build , it has been updated using this system since it's release a few dashes ago all have gone without a hitch.

Here is the error after connection

I have since used " xeBuild client -v -i %HOMEPATH%\Desktop  " successfully  to dump my nand and keys,  manually updated the console and all is working fine.

I really prefer to use the automated method so I don't have to do the extra messing with avatar data etc.

I see this note below in the DL readme, but I'm unsure if this is the issue being described or not since dashlaunch itself updated just fine

"- some well used NAND images with earlier versions of DL already installed seem

incapable of being updated with larger sized files, it is recommended for
the time being to make a clean NAND image with the most recent/up to date

image builder if you run into this issue"

If I can provide any further information that would help I would be glad to ;)

also on a side note any chance of a stand alone xex of the v3 server?

sometimes im just to lazy to scroll and push a button in dahslaunch UI LOL (but seriously it is nice for a quick nand and key grab)

EDIT::

just for the sake of it I tried to run the update again (after manually flashing the update) in hopes of not having to do avatars via USB and now I get this error

It'd be great if you could supply the nand dump(s) for us to analyze, my guess is that you're using RGH 1 on this jasper?

** Edit: **

I split the posts out of the update tutorial thread and merged it into this one so we have all of them in the same place as it's clearly a bug in xeBuild, once we get some data to work with we can start working on a fix for this problem, i don't think it was tested with a Jasper RGH 1 console, and it's trying to verify the bootloaders, doing so we opted to reject good ones rather then accept bad ones, which is what's happening here

** Edit 2: **

also on a side note any chance of a stand alone xex of the v3 server?

When I get home later today I think I can do that :)

For what it's worth I also get this error on a Falcon with RGH1. I haven't used updsvr before on this box. Do you need more sample data to solve this problem? Thanks.

If you can send me yours aswell we can check if there's still a problem with the falcon model, jasper has been fixed... just verifying a few things and testing the new patches for the new kernel(s) not sure when we'll be releasing tho...

Hi, I have a similar problem as the first post. Only I have a Falcon console.

Other updates I did have worked without a problem.
I also updated another (newer) xbox, that went without a problem

Should I provide more details or is the problem clear?

Thank you very much for the effort already

Grz,

Bazzz
