komser 0 Posted November 20, 2014 hello, my problem is with my rgh slim (trinity with 4gb internal memory and 320gb hard drive). i buy the console used with old dashboard. before i do the update, i performed a format of internal memory (int-mu), because the device was shown with unrecognizied. after that my xbox freeze during browse at nxe, onyl after couple of minutes after reboot. the situation was available after i do the update to 16747. now, i flash my xbox with the option "disable internal memory". since there, no more freeze :-) is possible to reactive/restore the 4gb int-mu again ? i have no backup of int-mu. other question: i format the hdd, too. but the message after reboot with restore is doesnt appears. thanks in advance, komser
JPizzle 0 Posted November 20, 2014 I would suggest to never use the internal MU as it is actually your NAND. Using this for game saves or FSD or anything really can result in a corrupted NAND.
komser 0 Posted November 20, 2014 in advance, no trinity, corona. i know, the 4gb memory unit is my nand device. the dump with 48 mb is enough to build a actual dump. using simple nand flasher is not possible to do a full dump. however, using the option nointmu is the proper way ? other question, the disabled memory unit is only not visible to user to prevent read/write operations OR is not available at all (also for the xbox) ? komser 0 Posted November 23, 2014 yes avatar data is installed. no grey out figures. no kinect.
Swizzy 2083 Posted November 23, 2014 then it's probably a case of you being connected to XBL somewhat recently, before you set Dashlaunch to block the XBL dns addresses...
komser 0 Posted November 23, 2014 i dont use live. maybe unaware connected ?!? however, what is the solution ? update: i delete the sysext folder and run the update again, for avatar. because you asked for avatar as first. without success. whats about the signnotice setting from dashlaunch ? now its disabled. Signnotice is to automatically press "Cancel" on the sign-in notice thing iirc, it's been a while... it's all in the description of dashlaunch... There is a location where these files are at which holds the DNS information, after a while it decides that they're outdated and will try to grab new versions, that is when dashlaunch works properly to block Xbox Live
komser 0 Posted November 23, 2014 1) dashlaunch works, i checked with option "autoshut" enabled. now, shutdown is pre-selected at hold the guide button. 2) i'll observe if the message will disappear after a while (in the next days/weeks ... ?) another question: is there any development to handle with iso files ? i'm asking because the game files handling it's very difficulty in compare of ps3 cfw. at ps3 i can use the game as it is (jb folder format) or i can convert it to iso (new corba feature). but at xbox, i need to extract or convert to god container. ok it has advantage of smaller size, but it takes time. Â Â Â On Xbox 360 you can use ODEs, such like as Xkey, Wasabi360, BoxZii and so on. In Connection with ODEs you can load Isos directly from your external HD, a conversion is not necessary. If you want to use Xbox Live, the Isos Stealth must be stealth.
komser 0 Posted November 24, 2014 i know about ode, but its a commercial solution. therefore, i asked with the hope that swizzy (as a xbox scene developer) answer. i want only understand the development difficulty of a iso loader, maybe implementation of ntfs ? anyway, thank for your answer dr. gonzo. note: at ps3 scene the iso feature was raised with the release of the corba usb dongle source code. commercial on > long live rebug < commercial off. Dr.Gonzo 392 Posted November 24, 2014 I do not think that the development is the problem, but rather the question whether it is still worth. The Xbox 360 is at the end of the lifetime. With a few exceptions, the 360 scene is dead. I guess that many developers think the same, as regards the implementation of large projects. Â greets. The PS3 has ALOT more system space, space for code... so, it can make the kernel much much bigger... we're quite limited on Xbox 360, it is possible to do it on Xbox 360, it's just not worth the trouble... games works perfectly fine extracted or as GOD, it's not hard to extract games, and honestly, you can install games as NXE (from retail discs) and then convert to GOD on the box, it's really easy... hell, you don't even need to do that anymore... komser 0 Posted November 29, 2014 in advance, sorry for going off-topic. back to topic ... the message about "check for update" at login appears further. maybe, should i re-flash ? or it another manual way to change the dashlaunch DNS settings ? note: as i posted before, unload > uninstall > delete ini file, was without success. Swizzy 2083 Posted December 1, 2014 now, my xbox is offline (disconnect from wireless network) and the message box appears further. strange not ? This means that it's not a connection thing, it's probably something with your avatar data not being fully installed or something... try installing the avatar data once again when you get this popup? komser 0 Posted December 1, 2014 i re-apply already the avatar data, with delete of sysext folder, without success. further the figures appears proper, not grey figures. but i observed another strange issue. when i remove the interal hdd, the xbox runs further ?!? because my internal memory (int-mu) is disabled. it looks like that data is located at the int-mu and in use ? komser 0 Posted December 2, 2014 see attached picture. not my own picture, grabbed from google. however, this what i mentioned with [3]. the both figures are in color, not grey. my language is german and therefore community, instead of social.
