GTA V Title Update for RGH !! ??

Recommended Posts

Thx!

how can I manually add this?

fsd see no TU for gta v :(

yes, fsd don't see any TU for GTA V.

That's because who uploaded this didn't check the media id of the play disc and uploaded it with the media id for the install disc so when FSD checks for the update won't find it. Download the update manually and ftp with 360 content manager and it will show in FSD after you scan, or ask the staff to modify the media id of the update because GTA V install disc and play disc have different media id.

I just put disc 2 into my retail xbox, it downloaded a TU for GTAV, the media id is 0C48794E. You could try uploading it manually to see if it works.

To upload, download the TU from the jqe website to your desktop, FTP to your xbox, goto

Hdd1Content0000000000000000545408A7 > create a folder called "000B0000", then put the TU in that folder, reboot xbox, should work.

0C48794E is the media id of disc 1, the install disc; disc 2, the play disc has the following media id: 79E465C5

When I put disc 2 in, and got the TU, the media ID for the TU was 0C48794E, its the one that was pulled from live.

Works great 4 me. TU is recognized in TU manager and applied ingame (new info bar on the bottom says TU2 active). So, this seems 2 be the way to get this working.

I thougnt the latest TU4 was all for GTA5 live which we have no use for really.

http into your xbox to check media ID matches.

I ended up grabbing mine from live as link.jqe360 hasn't uploaded my TU4 for my media ID yet.

Apologies if this question is answered somewhere else but if it is I can't find it.  GTA V cycles through the different characters moving right to left (loading shown on screen) and then left to right and then back to right to left, etc. in a never ending loop.  Does Disc 1 need to be installed to the HDD instead of residing on an external USB drive?

Thanks,

outofwork

disc one needs to be extracted using "xbox back up creator" (or what ever) and the 4 files put.....

/Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/545408A7/00000002/

545408A700000000
545408A700000001
545408A700000002
545408A700000003

Then disc 2 needs to be extracted and put on your usb or what ever using the normal method. (ISO2GOD)

Here's a list of the root level files and folders from disc1:

Name
content
default.xex
xbox360b.rpf
common.rpf
xbox360a.rpf
install_music.wma
nxeart
common
disc1.rsn

As you suggest those four files are three levels down in the content folder.  I can easily move them to the HDD as you suggest but what do I do with the other files and folders from disc1? Just leave them in the Disc1 folder on the USB drive?

I would "assume"  that I should just leave them on the USB drive so it can get the default.xex off the USB drive.  Is that correct?

I appreciate the assistance.

as it says mate, just extract the contents from Disk 1 (on your computer) and then copy it across to your attached HDD drive. you don't have to bother with the other files.

pointless hosting the gta5 TU on jqe as no matter what disc you put it on a xbox live console it will always download the TU for disc 2 which is for online play and has a different media ID to disc 1 making the TU defunct.
