GTA V 2-disc problem

Sorry for missing recent news, maybe this topic was discussed, couldn't find anything.

So, according to this article, GTA V will be released on 2 discs for Xbox 360. Up until now we're good, we can just iso2god both of them and gg, right? WRONG!

Apparently, the first disc will feature a mandatory 8GB install, while the game will be played entirely off of the second disc.

Now how would the FSD multidisc plug-in handle that? I'm just a bit worried, that's all.

Oh for goodness sakes..

 

if its a mandatory 8GB install.. that means it will install all the data from disc 1 onto the hard drive... therefore only disc 2 will be required to play the game.

I REALLY don't think it's that simple. I guess we'll just wait and see, but I was wondering if there were any other games similarily released.

etc....

Those games had GOTY editions that featured all DLC on disc 2, to play the DLC it had to be installed onto the hard drive.

 

Battlefield 3 had the HD Pack on the other disc...

 

This "mandatory Install" will just go into a DLC folder... so YES... ITS THAT SIMPLE

 

So, come back here in september when the game is actually "Released" and see my latest post... "Told you so"

You need this dvd to play the gameDVD2 = Single player + GTA OnlineWhich means the first dvd is just a normal DLC/additional installation and not an actual game.2. put the dvd 1 on internal drive and left dvd 2 GOD file on my normal RGH area.. POW let their be light

I've done this and I still get a error saying re-download this game when loading disc 2. What more can be done, been trying to get this game working for 2 days now......

 

Very Frustrated. I've also tried multiple downloads, on download 3 now. The odds of me downloading 3 that don't work but all have high downloads and worked for basically everyone else who downloaded. 

 

Makes no sense, I'm stumped and basically just going to go to the midnight launch tonight and get it.

install the game to your hard drive via the game disc. Pirate Downloads always lead to faults or other problems.

Well if you get the disc, install the contect from DVD 1 and install DVD 2 to the hard drive, then use nx2god to convert it to game on demand so the disc is no longer required

Yeah, I'm not bothering any more, tried most of the day today and haven't really got any farther ahead than yesterday. I've done what every has said worked for them and then it still shows that the disc can't be played.

did you prepare the external hard drive to work with your xbox?? (formatted with your xbox)

if yes then you schould have a folder callled USBMU. copy the folder content from disk1 to your USBMU drive.(use FTP program for example)use Exiso to extract the game dvd 2 to your hard drive (usb drive) play the game.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, putting content folder onto the MU part of usb flash memory stick worked for me. Have been trying to get this to work since sunday morning. Just make sure to allocate plenty of memory on the stick for xbox use. Grandson will be happy when he come home from school.
