Unable to get Nova working, cannot connect to LiNK

Recommended Posts

Hi, first post, been trying to figure this out for a few days and ive look about everywhere I could think of. Long story short is I modded my Xbox jasper with RGH about 6 or so years ago, I installed Freestyle Dash 3 on it back in the day as that was the best at the time. Since then I know that FSD is no longer supported and now Aurora is supported. A few years ago I downloaded Aurora and put it on my xbox so I could run LiNK and play halo reach, I would power on the Xbox to FSD, then select Aurora, then run Halo reach when I wanted to play online, everything was working back then, no issues. I noticed that when I tried to play again a few days ago, I couldnt connect to the LiNk servers. I updated Aurora through the updater on my Xbox, everything was updated good, but when I hit start, modules, and check it shows that Nova is not "Active". I pressed RB and checked that ports 3071 and 3072 are forwarded properly and when I hit verify, everything comes out passed except for Nova being active.

What steps am I missing? I know its connected to the internet properly since I was able to update and install the new Aurora from the xbox itself. I'm at a loss.

UPDATE:

I was able to get it to work by going into xexmenue from freestyle dash and going into the plug-ins folder and deleting the "freestyle plugin" xex , I'm guessing it must have booted that plug-in on startup and it wouldn't allow nova to load. I was able to get into halo reach and play a game.
