  2. Transferring games to my jtag'd 360 via ftp is slow, about 2.5MiB/s transferring one file at a time. I'm using FileZilla in passive mode, i have tried active and it didn't make a difference. I am on a wired connection on both ends and i have seen it jump to 25MiB/s so i know the speed is there i just don't know what would be holding it back. What are your optimal ftp settings for this? Let me know what info you need beyond that.
  3. I have a RGH'ed Jasper 360 that I added a 2TB drive to and configured from scratch. I added XexMenu, Aurora and FreestyleDash. I have been ripping discs to the drive with no issues. Aurora sees them and I have automatic scanning set. The problem is when I FTP games over. For some reason, none of the games will show up in Aurora. They show in FSD just fine. I can launch them from the file menu in Aurora, but they just don't show up in the interface. Any ideas what I could check or what I might be doing wrong? I have loaded dash launch but I have not gotten around to configuring it yet. I wouldn't think that would cause this issue with Aurora though. I also read through all 37 pages of the support forum and while there are a number of topics related to missing games, none seemed to apply to this case.
  4. The xbox 360 scene is small... and it's becaming smaller :-( The bad news is that the developer of GODspeed, an FTP client for JTAG/RGH Xbox 360 consoles (more useful than a regular FTP client because the folder inside Xbox HDD and Memory units are displayed with real names and thumbnails instead of criptic numbers) is leaving the project. The good news is that, as a final gift to the community, he releases a new version (1.2) and the source code on github: https://github.com/mercenaryntx/godspeed Those are his words, from the Godspeed facebook page: "Hello guys! After years of inactivity - and false promises - I officially let this project go. I should've done this ages ago, but now I finally uploaded its last source code to GitHub to let anybody pick it up and continue. If you check the version history in the description, you can see what changes I made since v1.1. You can find the latest binaries there as well, not sure how stable they are, though. If you have some questions regarding the code, feel free to contact me, I'll try to help." Thanks to Mercenaryntx for this useful tool.
  5. Today i had the Problem that when i search with FileZilla the Xbox completly freezes also the NXE Guide Button is not working. FileZilla - Server - Search for Data on Server After a few seconds the FTP Connection breaks and Xbox Freeze. And another thing. Searching via FTP using Windows Explorer ( Windows 7 x64 Bit ) is not doable. 1. it is only searching for Files not for Folders 2. it is not working when you search for longer names Greeds BestNoob * Edit Okay Aurora / Xbox only crashes when you search the whole system or HDD my be because of to many requests in a short time.
  6. I want to transfer large data (i.e. Several games) from my PC to my Jtag. I have Filezilla installed on my PC, i have a LAN connecting cable. What do i do after connecting my pc and xbox with lan cable?
  7. Hi I have strange problem with my glitched xbox360. I've tried various boards (american, russian, polish) and nobody knows what's the reason. So please forgive me my mistakes ;_; You're my last hope. So here it is: My xbox drops connection with the LAN and internet after few seconds. It's not fault of the ftp app, or ethernet cable or xbox's apps issue, i've tried it with various ftp programs, different xbox servers (aurora, fsd, xexmenu and probably dashlaunch), direct connection with pc and diferent cable. It makes downloading updates, covers etc. impossible, not mentioning transfering the files over the LAN. On the otherhand xell works like a miracle, I can download all of the keys etc. without a problem.Well, i've even updated my dash few few months ago trough the lan, and it works (but problems with connection are same). Do you know any solution? Thank you.
  8. Hi there! My name is Mercenary and I'm the developer behind the FTP client called GODspeed. If you haven't heard about it yet, it's a Total Commander like FTP client designed to fasten and clarify file management between your PC, NAS and your FSD-enabled X360. During the development I found a few interesting issues but there's only one that troubles me a lot. I released a new version this week and this one finally got an error reporting feature which has already proved to be an extremely valuable addition because now I can see all the weird issues the users of my tool have to face. And the most common problem has been reported by Polish users who use their computer AND(!) Xbox with Polish language and culture settings. But I don't know how so that's why I ask for your help, because I only see their FTP log. When I connect to my console and call the LIST command I get the following: But if they do the same they get the dates with Polish month abbreviations: Now I've got two problems.1) The third party library I'm using to access FTPs can't handle those month abbreviations. (complete morons wrote that code :S)2) I can't change my console's settings to be able to reproduce this issue. Can you tell me what do I have to do to change the culture to Polish? I tried to switch language and locale in NXE, but it hasn't had any effects. Actually my only hope is that if I would be able to set the culture to Polish then maybe I could come up with a hack somehow, otherwise my Polish users will be disappointed. Besides that there's a minor issue as well. I already made a workaround for that so it's not a big deal, I just wanted to let you know that when you call SIZE command it throws a not implemented exception. Thank you for your help in advance, I really hope you can help me to make those Polish fellas happy. Cheers!
  9. How to Wirelessly FTP your WIFI enabled Phat or Slim 360 with Freestyle Dash Written by Gangrel_1313 @ http://RealModScene.com First log into NXE, Go to SETTINGS, Click on SYSTEM Next click NETWORK SETTINGS Then on the Available Networks screen, click ADVANCED OPTIONS Next click CREATE A AD-HOC NETWORK Create the SSID (name) of your network using the on-screen keyboard, we'll use XBXFSD for this tutorial, but you can use anything. Next at the EDIT AD-HOC WIRELESS SETTINGS screen, you can add WIRELESS SECURITY and modify 802.11 NETWORK TYPE, which is optional, for this tutorial I'm just leaving settings as default (no security), then click Done. You will automatically connect the Xbox to the AD-HOC Network (NOTE: it shows no bars until you connect your PC to the connection, once connected it will show signal strength) Leave your Xbox on that screen, Now with your wireless PC (i'm using Windows 7), click the signal bar on your task bar to bring up wireless connections.. Search for the SSID you created, in this case XBXFSD and connect. (NOTE: if you used security when setting up the AD-HOC network on the xbox, you will be prompted for the password you created) You may have to wait a minute or so to aquire a IP address for the console, now press the globe on the Xbox controller and click FREESTYLE HOME (or XBOX HOME). Then Click YES when prompted. Now back on the Freestyle Dashboard, you should see your aquired IP address (Mine was 169.254.121.235, yours may be different) (NOTE: if you dont see your top and bottom bars, click right analog stick to make them appear). Now you have different options for transferring files, if you use Windows, you can use Windows Explorer by clicking MY COMPUTER and entering this into the address bar: ftp://xbox:xbox@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (X's replaced with the IP you obtained, xbox is default FTP login/password credentials on FSD) Then click enter and it should connect to the Xbox's FTP server, then you can browse the directories and transfer files from PC to the XBOX. Another FTP method is with your favorite FTP clients (I use Filezilla), just type the IP address in the server box and Xbox in Username and Xbox in Password box and connect. That's all, Thanks for reading my tutorial, you can contact me if you have problems or dont understand something, I'm gangrel_1313 on http://RealModScene.com You can download this tutorial in PDF form (Attached to post), it includes images.
