  1. I did some research and TimeSplitters games have issues even with official controllers. They work only with some unofficial controllers. So the TimeSplitters games are definitely an exception.
  2. 8BitDo v2 adapter definitely works with Xbox Original games on 360 with a PS5 controller. Or did you mean that the adapter does not work on original xboxes? I prefer the Mayflash adapters over 8BitDo. I have the Mayflash NS lite model. It has a lower input lag by about one 60fps frame. The Mayflash has a about 0.5 frame delay compared to an official wired 360 controller. I did some crude measurements with my 240fps camera on my phone. The 8BitDo lag is definitely noticeable in FPS games for me. Also for me, Mayflash adapter remembers my PS5 controller so I don't have to re-sync it every time I boot up the console. Also the controller shuts down automatically when I turn off the console, which does not happen with the 8BitDo adapter, at least not immediately.
  3. I wouldn't worry too much about not being able to read a single block that seems like a bad block. Did I understand correctly that you have not tried to glitch the console yet? Just try to glitch the console if you haven't.
  4. Damn, changing the uuid seems like a pain. Also, I'm not using link. I always disable it as makes some games not work locally. The main reason I'm using Aurora is that it handles title updates. Most of my games have DLC so enabling title updates is a must. I think I will install the title updates manually in the content folders and just use XeXmenu or MS dash to launch the games.
  5. I hold Xbox 360 LAN parties with 8 RGH modded xboxes. They all have internal hard drives with the games. To make managing the xboxes easier, I though about setting up Aurora (downloading the covers, game updates, path settings) for one hard drive and then copying the Aurora files to other HDDs. However, it seems like the Aurora configuration doesn't copy over to other hard drives. Is the configuration tied to the hard drive? At least it's not console-tied as I can use the same hard drive in different consoles without losing the settings. So, is there some way clone the same Aurora setup to multiple HDDs? Are there maybe some configuration files I'm missing? I make a copy of the folder in which Aurora.xex is located.
  6. I know S-RGH - it's usually done with the ace V3 chip. It's usually just a bit of a hassle to find the optimal timings. I'm just interested if the chinese have figured out something or not with this new chip.
  7. I noticed that x360ace has released new chips since V3, with the most recent being V5. Does anyone have experience with these new chips? The new chips seem to use a new clock signal from the 360 motherboard. Is this actually useful or just a cost saving feature? It would be interesting to know the clock signal frequency and if it is in any way in phase with the CPU clock? Install pictures for the new chips: http://x360ace.com/product/
  8. Do all games give the same error? Have you installed the avatar update? To be honest I don't know if it is required, but it is recommended to install it in any case.
  9. At least Ratchet and Clank doesn't work with the emulator: http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/PS2_Classics_Emulator_Compatibility_List The two other games should work ok. I don't know what to try - you seem to know more about the PS3 than I do. I suggest you post this on a playstation specific site that has more people with PS3 knowledge.
  10. Sure, some games are available via the streaming service. But the software based PS2 classics emulator works on all PS3 models and it's able to play +500 titles.
  11. The PS3 does have a fully software based emulator (http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/PS2_Emulation). So you should be able to run at least some PS2 games on your PS3. Anyway, I don't know how to fix your problems as I have no experience with the PS3.
  12. You can probably stretch the video fullscreen by adjusting TV settings. Stretching removes the black bars, but the game will look skewed. I prefer playing 4:3 with black bars over stretched widescreen.
  13. I'm not complaining. I have edited the page multiple times to fix obvious errors.
  14. There are many games on that Wikipedia page that are incorrectly reported as having System Link support. Dirt 1-3 have system link support, Showdown does not.
  15. Jimmie Johnson's Anything With an Engine is a fun game for kids and it has system link support.
  16. Thanks for the update. I really like this version without the ad banner.
  17. By the way, does there exist a standalone updserver that works with recent XeBuilds? The version that I have found is version 2 and XeBuild gives error about too old version. Launching the server from dashlaunch installer works. Not a big deal to use the dashlaunch installer. I would just prefer to use a standalone tool for updating xboxes if it exists.
  18. DASHBOARD: 2.0.17526.0 Release date 5/22/2018 Minor bug fixes and improvements https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/console/system-update-operating-system So nothing major, as is probably expected at this point. Some people say the update is for GDPR compliance.
  19. Thank you for the information. I thought it did, because it is listed on the Xbox 360 system link games wikipedia page. Also the game's Xbox.com page tells that is has system link support. However, it is not the first time these sources are incorrect.
  20. Apparently Bishock 2 multiplayer has system link support, but it requires a connection to Xbox Live for it to work. I tried the game with fakelive enabled. I can get through the first Xbox Live connection check so I can select a character, but then it kicks me back into the main menu for losing the connection to live. Is there anything else I could try?
  21. I had a problem with not being able to run NTSC Halo CE (neutral host edition) on my PAL 360 even with the hacked emulator. If I remember correctly it complained that the screen didn't support 50 Hz even though the game was NTSC. I got it working by changing the region in J-Runner and creating a new flash. Changing region in dashlaunch didn't work for me.
  22. Damn, you're right. How did I miss that. I tried the nolan patch and the console boots like it should. Thank you!
  23. Sorry for the delay. I flashed the original nand and got the secondary error code 1030. At least on fat consoles that code means that something is wrong with the ethernet chip. I will try to change the chip if I come across a dead slim motherboard. I found the same 8041NL ethernet ICs sold on aliexpress and ebay for 10 bucks, but I'm not ready to spend that if I don't know if it fixes the problem. A nice solution would be a Xebuild patch that removed the ethernet checks. I could live without ethernet support. However, I don't think that exists and I don't have the skills to create a patch myself.
  24. I will check the secondary code again tomorrow. Xbox power supplies seem to be rated for the worst case scenario, like running a game from DVD with kinect plugged in and with multiple usb devices connected simultaneously. In Anantech's test Trinity consumed 90W at most: https://www.anandtech.com/show/3774/welcome-to-valhalla-inside-the-new-250gb-xbox-360-slim/3
  25. The light blinks green for a few seconds before red lighting, so I think the power supply works correctly. Also, it works on another console so it is likely not the issue. Also, as far as I know, Trinity and Corona power supplies are interchangeable. I think Microsoft would have modified the power connector like in the older models if the power supplies were not interchangeable. At least I have never had any issues using a 9.6A power supply on a Trinity.
