  1. At the moment F3 loads automatically after a crash. It always has. That is why I keep corrupting my live profile after a fatal crash which is annoying.

I can't remember how you change this now. Is it in Dashlaunch?

The main reason I want to post a log is to see if anything is wrong with my disc swap so it has nothing to do with crashes. The game does not crash it freezes at the please insert disc 2 message.

I am wondering whether it is just a corrupt game but I have loaded it twice now.

  2. Hi,

If I have a problem (like my multi disc swap will not work) and I have tried everything to get it to work. How can I post logs of my problem? I am not getting any crashes just that the screen is freezing on Disc2 and I have to reboot. I have followed the multi disc swap tutorial with no luck.

Where in the settings are the log preferences. I am on the latest Dashlaunch and F3.

    Thanks.

  3. Try updating to the latest Freestyle dash. In the latest dash you do not need to do anything, it should work automatically. Just remember to delete any instances of swap.exe and DISABLE autoswap in dashlaunch.

Updating to the latest version of everything often helps resolve problems.

Have your game folder and inside your game folder have a separate folder for disk1 and disk2.

  4. It will only upload a TU if there is one available to upload.

If there is one available it will be obvious. It will appear in the box on the screen. Quite often you will get more than one. Just highlight the top one (which will include all the updates below). One highlighted the X will turn green and then download. It will automatically go into the correct folder for that game.

  5. hey guys im new to this, so please bear with me. i have an 4gb xbox 360 slim i dont know know if its rgh or jtagged. i just downloaded freestyle dash 3, loaded it up on my flash drive, directed it to the demos folder using horizon. okay after doing that i plugged it in the xbox 360 and lauched the freestyle 3 installer. checked the 3 boxes, where it said download latest updates, download and install dash launch and install freestyle 3 then continue. after that it download the updates and installs. when its done, it prompts to continue, when i select continue, it give me this error "The game could not start. Please download the game again. For more help, go to www.xbox.com/support"

then it goes back to xbox home. i repeated this process multiple times, but i got the same message every time. please help me over here guys

    thanks.

I loaded my F3 using an ISO image on a disc. I find it handy when things go wrong and a fresh install is needed. Maybe burn it to disc rather than load it from a flash drive and see if that helps. The flash drive may be confusing F3 into thinking it is a separate drive maybe? Make sure your internet connection is in for the installation. Worth a try.

What version of dash launch are you using. What does Dash launch tell you about your console? i.e. make and model, type of glitch etc.... Have you changed any settings in dash launch and if so have you saved them to your .ini file?

  6. arrrg still not working.

I am wondering about the folder 584E07D2. Is the 0 numerical or alphabetical?

    Here is my setup:

Dashlaunch has contpatch Enabled, liveblock enabled, autofake disabled but fakelive enabled.

Gamepath is: Usb0:content0000000000000000  scan depth 4

USB0 has the following: USB0:content0000000000000000584E07D2 (The 0 is a zero) In this folder I have 00000002 and 000B0000Tu in the 000B0000 and games in 00000002

I have the USB drive in the top port at the back of the Xbox.

Can you see anything wrong? I am wondering whether Indie games are just not workable on external drives perhaps? Thanks.

  7. Hi,

I had Indie games working on my internal hard drive but to save space I want to put them on an external hard drive. I have put them on the drive under folder USB1:content0000000000000000584eo7d20000002

I have the game path pointing at USB1:content0000000000000000 and have retail as automatic and devkit as XBLA with a scan depth of 2.

They are showing in the homebrew folder and launch but I get a message saying the file is corrupt.

Also is there a way of using 360 content manager to upload your games to USB1 as the default is HDD1 and I can't seem to alter it.

    Thanks.

  8. Hi,

I am finding that when I delete an indie game using Y it disappears but when I reboot the console and the automatic scan is done, the game then reappears even though I have deleted it. I have tried playing it and it is still working.

If I disable the automatic scan at startup to stop this, how will the console be notified of new content?

The indie games appear in my homebrew folder. My game paths are:

Hdd1:360 Games for 360 Games   Scan Depth 2

Hdd1:Apps   for Homebrew Scan Depth 3

Hdd1:Content0000000000000000   for XBLA   Scan Depth 2

Hdd1:Emus   for Emulators   Scan Depth 2

    Thanks.

  9. I have tried the things you have suggested and still no luck.

I am on Dash Version 3.0b Rev 735

I went to delete the game and it froze on 0%. I left it for 10 minutes but no joy and none of the gamepad buttons were working to exit so I had to reboot.

There was no crash report. I think I have this turned on as I have seen crash messages before but I do not know where to go to confirm this.

    I am on kernel 2.0.16203.0

    Default Skin

I have a USB drive attached with my profiles and saves on and an internal hard drive.

I have managed to fix it. It was the game paths. I re-installed Freestyle dash again, but in the game paths I changed all retail to Automatic and all devkit set to the relevant path. i.e. xbox360 says Retail:automatic, Devkit Xbox360.

Before, I had Hdd1: set to automatic as one path, and then separate game paths for Xbox360, emus, homebrew and XBLA but the retail and devkit was always set to the relevant game path.

So in conclusion it was either the game path Hdd1: as a separate path that was confusing the other separate game paths or the fact that retail was not set to automatic. Funnily enough now my indie games appear in the homebrew section whereas before they appeared in the XBLA folder.

  10. Thanks for the reply JQE. I think I was on the latest dash but I have chopped and changed so much trying to resolve the issue that I could not be sure.

How long would you expect a deletion of an indie game to take? I waited about 30 seconds if memory serves me correct. It just stayed on 0% although I didn't receive an error message.

What I will do is update to the latest dash and try again but leave it for a good 10 minutes or so. I thought there was a problem as XBLA deletes took 3 seconds to delete a game. Now that I know I will be more patient. “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.†Aristotle.

Thanks for the info about the database also. I did not know that. I will refrain from using third party software in future. Thanks :)

  11. You need to manually scan the folders for them to show. Have you set up your game paths correctly?

As long as F3 knows the games are there i.e. you have set up your Xbox360 games so that they are pointing to the folder the games are in and you manually scan them then they should show. You can set your automatic path as HDD1: and then F3v should scan them at bootup.

  12. I was using the latest beta version of the dashboard. I used the disc iso installer and checked the install latest updates box and had the beta updates allowed box checked also. I have since gone back to the stable version as I was forever deleting and installing the dashboard again due to database problems. Due to the fact I couldn't delete through the F3 dashboard, I was using 360NXE to delete games but although the games would delete safely, the covers remained.

I have yet to try deleting indie games on this dashboard.

    Thanks for your reply.
