  1. i know this topic is old, but apparently, some commits have been made on d39 driver on retroarch. I think they are trying to make the xmb work. xmb uses is own files, fonts and other stuff and it doesnt need the xui files-interface to work. Maybe there's still some hope to people who stiil waiting for a new retroarch 360 version.
  2. yep, with all the new emulation stuff floating around like recalbox, batocera, the classic homebrew emulation for consoles is almost dead. The switch homebrew, however, is going strong, but i don't have one 😕 About pcsx360, you have to press the emulator options button (setup game profile). A menu will appear. Try use, dynarec on, framelimit on. Turn off gpu thread. Maybe the game will be playable.
  3. @nanohuman, I'll not release because my build is outdated( still use the old way to load and save settings), i use this build just for experimental stuff that i change in the source code. But i sent to dreamboy. He made the last UI with improvements and fixes . He will release a next version for sure. Not sure when But, if you really would like to try, pm me and i'll send a build for test.
  4. In the last commits (not offcialy released by ced), he added .z compression. These images can be created using a tool called pocket iso. Ced managed to get it working but it have some problems with multi-disc images and other things. I fixed some stuff and now i have a working build with compressed (.z images) support. Only games with cdda will not work, so you have to keep the games with cdda( tomb raider 1, 2 for example) unconpressed. All other games i tested with xa audio works very well. Vagrant story, have about 700mb, and using pocket iso, the image go down to about170mb in size, so it worth if space is a problem. @Dreamboy, if would like to add the compressed images support in a possible next release, just let me known cheers. and sorry, bad english.

  6. @360-Unimatrix, It works this way. The emulator will only show zipped roms, and cue files for segacd and pcengine cd games. Try load cue file. If you have a good rip, it will work fine.

  8. hi. It's based on 0.9.8 version, since is the last version with dual shader support. That's why i'm still using. Apply the changes on 1.0.0.3 will be probably straightfoward, but time consuming. No promises, but maybe i'll start port the features to last version on month june.

  10. I think you're using the emu made by lantus, and if i remember right, there's no shader support on his emulators, only software filters, not the same stuff as shaders. Retroarch 0.9.8 already have the fba core and it was the last 360 version( please someone correct me if in wrong) that came with shader support. Its a old version, but still worth to take a look to play some games.
  11. @ swizzy, sorry. it won't happen again. it's just for test purposes, because i know he talks my language @dreamboy, glad to hear you again, btw, you probably already know, the last pcsx360 source is out. fix the problems on the gui would be nice. i remember that last time i tried improve the gui, i screwed up everything.lol. but i know you can work on this. i hope hear some news from you man. cheers !!

  13. devilhunter, it seems the pokopon plugin used for input is compatible with multitap stuff, but i don't know if pscx-reloaded is compatible. i'll take a look on this letmebe, dreamboy( the guy that made the second version of pcsxr-360) made the gui, he added some code to hide the cue, ccd files on filebrowser, but the cue file is important since the emulator read the cue to play the tracks. Just load the bin file. If the .cue is good, it will play the cdda tracks fine. btw, thanks for upload the emu again darknior, just press start and back together to open the ingame menu options. Just remeber to download this file guys http://www100.zippyshare.com/v/cSX7M4hH/file.html It's a fix for crash team racing that was broken on 2.1.0 version.

For now here's a compiled source with crash team racing working. It's the same source released from 2.1.0 version, but with this fix above included again. Just replace the default.xex file. * After some research, the miliseconds freeze issue that happen in some games like ISSS pro evolution and crash team racing, happen in other psx emulators as well like mednafen-psx.   15. first, sorry for the bad english thanks man, but you dont need to worry about donations for me. i'm not real a dev. Far from it. it's just for fun ^^ but i really would like to see more improvements on pcsx360 and other emulators ported to the xbox360 on pcsxr-360 side, some games, like pro evolution soccer, crash team racing and others, stops for a miliseconds then goes back to normal in gameplay. it's very annoying, and i tought that was my fault, but this issue seems to happen since ced's first official release. ced didn't notice, and the issue was not fixed. For my part, for now, i've no clue how to fix it The hw gpu is a real good stuff to add on. i remember that ced worked on a hw gpu, and he showed some screens of a WIP hw gpu, but he lost interest soon after find problems between the hw gpu and the xbox gui(xui). Some time later, when i was playing around with his sources, I was able to compile the hw gpu, but unfortunately, all the games are unplayable due the lots of glitches. It seems only 2 problems, but they are big thinking about coding. But the source is out. who knows. Any skillfull coder(it's hard to find 360 coders these days) with free time are free to grab the project
  16. i think ced2911 is the only guy that worked on libxenon version. The reasons about his choice to stop the xell version and start a sdk from the scratch is unknown, maybe because the libxenon was discontinued by his main developer, gligli. And i agree, the libxenon has some advantages like the hw gpu plugin. The sdk version still use a old pete software plugin for graphics. That's why there's some glitches on some games, like silent hill.

No more 2 builds(old and new cdr plugin). Cdda games are working fine and the compatibility was maintained (dead or alive and others games), in a single default.xex - Added option to exit to dash on main menu.(right thumb click button) - Added linear filter options(again) - Fixed the weird characters that appears in the end of the text when you load a game guide. Byte order mark issues. Still, remember to set any gameguide text on notepad to unicode big endian format ( File->save as, then change from ansi to unicode big endian, then save the gameguide.txt). - Back("B") button is really a back button now, like it should be, in the main menu. On previous version, this button was used to load the profile settings,sorry for my stupidity - Added cpu bias option. Turning this option "on" will make the emulator run faster, setting the bias in the core to "3", but it will underclock the psx cpu. It's good for some games that dont use the full psx power, most 2d games or some 3d games with less cpu demand like brigandine. Heavy cpu games (tekken 2,3) will suffer from a lot of slowdowns. - Added Front mission 3 fix on main menu * Bug regression-freeze fixes - Soul Calibur(when you finish the game) - Tomb Raider 3 (when entering on ingame menu and try to return to the game again) - Brave Fencer Musashi (voices) - Valkirie Profile (BGM) * Freeze Fix - Front Mission 3 (random freezes in battles when your wanzer or the enemy wanzer has the legs smashed) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Important notes about the fixes and other stuff. Some people are getting trouble to make the emulator work. It seems a compatibility issue between the new versions of freestyle dash and the emulator. For now, the only workaround i know is use a old version of freestyle. I'm using freestyle 3.0 revision 483 and it works fine These fixes was not made by me. It was made thanks to efforts of lots of devs(shalma,edgbla,notaz,ckain and a lot others from the pscsx, pcsx-df and reloaded teams.   19. Thanks felida, unfortunately, i think this cfg file is based in the last 360 version released. Lots of stuff was added like core options, analogic controls, more players etc. My version is based on 0.9.8 source and it wouldn't recognize the mapped buttons or even the cfg file. I made a specific configuration from each core. If you download my version, you'll see a configuration folder. Inside the folder there's a cfg file for each core, like "nes.cfg" "genesis.cfg", not just one cfg file.(retroarch.cfg) I was thinking about begin another unofficial version based on last retroarch 360 version from the scratch. Seems to be a much improved version, faster, with lots of options. The only down is the the second shader that was removed in the last official release, but it is possible add again. I'll not promisse, but i'll see what is possible to do guys.
  20. yeah, it's included on my todo list. Adding the mame core it's something that i tried before the unofficial release. The mame source compiled fine, the video and sound are all working well with good speed, but the controls are all messed up, due the changes on retroarch source. Lots of changes were made on xdk input code as well. Unfortunately I'm using a outdated retroarch source code and add the new retroarch input code and make it work, maybe takes some time to me, but it's possible. And btw, i'm glad that you guys liked ^^

I'm new here, but sometime ago i was a very active member here : "http://www.doom2.net/doomdepot/music.html" to download doom mp3 files. - For NeoGeo games( FBA360 emulator ) work you must have the neogeo.zip file included inside on "roms\fba" folder, also the "rewind" feature must be turned "off" on Retro Arch settings. ( This will fix the Video Ram error on neogeo games). - For GBA games run at good speed you must turn "off" the rewind feature on RetroArch settings.( Rewind feature turned "on" will Slowdown Gba Emulation ). - A program called Romcenter must be used to fix your roms before play games on FBA360 core. - The following files must be on system folder "Disksys.rom", "NstDatabase.xml", "syscard3.pce", "Bios_CD_J.bin", "bios_CD_U.bin" and "Bios_CD_E.bin". - For the gamecovers and screenshots works well, don't use large png files, like 800x600 resolution. You can use pics with 640x480 of size, but a 300x300 resolution is the beter choice to avoid problems. * Notes : - To avoid problems with copyright files, roms, bios, etc, there's only freeware homebrew games to show how the unofficial retroarch 0.9.8 works. Bios files and other copyright stuff are not included. - Someone already made a pack with all necessary files (sega cd, pc engine, nestopia bios files and neogeo.zip). I sugest you make a save state after load the disk to not wait the game load again all the time. - The savestates for cave story, doom and quake cores doesn't work on retroarch. It seems that happen on the official version as well. But doom and quake have his own save state feauture when you launch the core. - Sometimes when you try to load a zipped rom, a error message saying that the rom could not be loaded will appear. To avoid this problem, unzip the rom, then rename the file if the rom name is to big removing some useless characters, also rename the file extensions to lower case. After doing this, rezip the file and try load the rom again. - Some cores save the sram files and savestates files inside of the system folder instead of writing in the sram and savestates folder.It's a bug, but you still are able load and save states. The sram files works fine as well. - Mame core is not working. Video and sound are working fine but the controls are all messed up, so it was removed from the build. For a while. I'll try to fix later. - My english is not working well.
