  1. Any helps appreciated mate No probs, I was ummin & arring were to post it, here or there tbh seeing how when they work, they work but it was the launching from Aurora that threw me. Yup FSD is turned off, trainers are Aurora specific from XYZ, matching TU and Media ID etc. Like I say, when they work they work fine its getting the game launched with the trainer active. I've tried with all options enabled, some enabled and none enabled, the outcome is the same. Is there a flag somewhere in the dbs that says a game has been launched with a trainer before? (Heres the thread Ive started on XYZ)
  2. When the trainers work they work fine so I don't think its an issue with the trainers themselves. Do you mean the difference between the older .xex trainers that you would load from xexmenu or a file manager in regards to the different versions? I checked and read the Aurora tuts before hand and the trainers I downloaded were all for 0.3 onwards? Or is there a new set that I've overlooked? I'm intrigued with this though, I've not had any popups from Aurora when launching or configuring them. Heres what Ive just tried on these games that I havnt loaded a trainer up on before: Battlefield: Grabbed this trainer and installed, shows up in the list, activated a couple of options, launched with trainer active and works fine. Rebooted console, launched with trainer - Frozen/black screen Rebooted console launched without trainer - Loads fine 007 Legends: Grabbed this trainer and installed, shows up in the list, activated a couple of options, launched with trainer active and works fine. Rebooted console, launched with trainer - Frozen/black screen Rebooted console launched without trainer - Loads fine Rebooted console, tried launching Battlefield again with trainer - Frozen/black screen Seems like it will load and work for a game that I've never used a trainer on before but after that nada!
  3. Hey all, Got a small issue with trainers Im trying to fathom out. Just started playing around with some trainers to see what the crack is and this is whats happening: Trainers are installed correctly, Aurora finds and runs them and they work fine. But only once. If I turn off the console and reload the game again with the trainer all I get is a black screen/frozen and have to reboot. This is a constant cycle. I can launch the game fine without the trainer activated and have tried all sorts of combinations like disabling all the options and launching, launching the game without the trainer then Guide button back to Aurora then activating the trainer etc Depending on the game, I can see the initial dev logo (say Activision) start but only a milliseconds worth before I can tell its frozen by only seeing a few pixels on the edges of the screen if that makes sense. Most games its just a black screen. Basically I can only use a trainer on a game I've never used a trainer on before, and can only use it once. When it does work, it works as expected. This is the same with all games. I loaded three games in a row that I've never used trainers on before. Game 1 - Activated and launched - Trainers works fine Guide button back to Aurora Game 2 - Activated and launched - Trainers works fine Guide button back to Aurora Game 3 - Activated and launched - Trainers works fine Turn off console Turn on console Game 1 - Activated and launched - Black screen/Frozen Turn off console Game 2 - Activated and launched - Black screen/Frozen Turn off console Game 3 - Activated and launched - Black screen/Frozen I've done the usual, updated dash, dashlauch and a clean install of Aurora but no dice. I started on 0.4 and its the same on 0.5. Hoping someone can point something out to me that I could have easily have missed? Everything else on Aurora is working bloody marvelous though, ConnectX, Quick Views all working tickty-boo etc
  4. Coolio. I don't know enough about the plugins to know, just thought it was a normal xex that loaded 'with' FSD but could be run on its own as well. Thought Id ask anyway, cheers
  5. Just a quick question. I hardly use FSD, not that theres anything wrong with it , but prefer to use NXE. I only use FSD to start Link. Is there a way to set the link plugin to start on boot like other DL plugins so that the link menu is available from the get go? Ive tried setting the FreestylePlugin.xex in DL but it didnt load so am assuming its dependent on FSD running first? Would this be possible in the future with Aurora, having the option of having plugins active without the dash?
  6. Dont need Live for a couple of days so will have to see how it is when I log back in. Is this a situation where I would need a new keyvault if I did get banned? I have little idea what they are used for bar the whole COD modding online thing except they can get you online? Id hate to waste a perfectly good demoned Jasper.
  7. So like a fool I didnt check to see if 3.12 was compatible with the latest dash on my Demon. Updated Live NAND and Live HDD, then updated Demon NAND. Now, Id left my Network cable in and noticed that the time had been updated. Am I looking at a ban on the Live side as DL wasnt blocking it?
  8. Legend! Cheers for that mate, cant wait to try out Link after hearing/reading so much about it
  9. Hey all, just a quick question regarding the plugin in v3 735. Is there anyway to disable the 'hooks' it has with the Metro dash/quick blades without disabling LiNK? Or, to put it another way: Do these hooks alter the logged in profile in anyway? I recently got my Jasper 512 Demoned after my old Xenon JTAG died. Updated the usual FSD & DL and had a play with v3 as last I used it was v2.x The new hooks are pretty cool etc but as they are loaded after FSD, do they have any effect on the data written to a profile similar to how data is written to it when loading FSD while logged in. Reading InsaneNutters guide on digex was a good insight and I ask as Ive been able to keep my profile 'clean' this way for several years. I play online with the coop games I buy that are Live only (Dead Space 3 etc) but have a laugh on multiplayer through Kai for the games Im not fussed about or to see if they are worth buying. Before I would load up the game through FSD and Kai then once booted log into my Live profile. Once finished would log into my non-live profile and head back into FSD. Now the hooks are there constantly and dont want this to cause me to have a profile ban after 5yrs of pretty much legit gaming! I read alot of folks do switch ack and forth from Live to RGH with the same profile but want to hear more from the 'technical' side of it. Many thanks for any help and also to the FSD crew, coming back to FSD after over a year without a JTAG to find some amazing work has happened is amazing
