do the icons in the filebrowser appear white?

yup that was me! anyways, that was what i did. did you do this with begals package? if you did, try it. it seems the problem arises due to a mismatch with the icons used in the filebrowser. they appeared white on mine. and you can't open it, although you can close it. in the end i redownloaded the whole thing, but still i was left with the "freestyle home" albeit with the aurora icon (weird i know.) you can easily change it with xuitool. good to know i'm not alone with this problem. maybe there's something in the .xur file (the homesignedin one) or aurora saves it somewhere and has trouble recognizing the new icon changes. edit: i have to add i also tried to replace it with the original files from the aurora package. and that didnt work. i had to replace it wih begal's, all of it (i was initially planning on just using the icons because i have an already edited homesignedin.xur i made earlier.) that's where it all started.

Install to Plugins\HudScene\** **be sure to backup your original files if necessary before overwriting them** said so in the first page mate. Thanks Aurora!

i fixed it! you see, prior to installing the two things i mentioned, i also tried begal's (the one with the banner on top) but the banner gets cut off and i found the temp numbers too light green, would have preffered the 360's green. so i exchanged that with the other two. that's where the problem started (i was reminded by gavin's post.) so what i did is modified begal's a little. thanks for the tuts here! although the part about xuitool i found here, the one pinned, is a bit vague. then i recopied that and voila, it worked!

wow! reading these comments, i learned a lot especially from static. what a nice read. had a few laughs with the dead horse and the back and forth banter but really informative.

no scripts. alright gonna get to it then. by the way i thought that it was just in the file manager where i can't scroll, turns out i can't scroll either when choosing a game room in link.

so that's the "Data" folder right? then all i need to do is delete and install again? or are there anymore steps to take?

is there a way to reset aurora's data (back to square one so to speak) without deleting my assets? if not, then what folders do i need to copy and save so i don't have to redownload my assets if i want to do a fresh install?

that's ok. not an issue really since i have them in groups now. if it's for aurora's stability, then its all good. wouldn't want trade covers for crashes lol! so 100 really was the threshold huh? lucky guess on my part.

this has been bugging me for a while now. so i downloaded a couple of layouts from here. really love wall, matrix, newsstand where a lot of the games appear at once. now here comes the problem. some games appear without covers. those games have covers by the way it's just that they don't appear on those layouts wherein alot of the games are displayed. if i change the layout to let's say aurora or bookshelf, they are all there. but once i change back to wall newstad or matrix, the covers dont appear (still there but not appearing.). then one day i decided to utilize the quickview option, and lo and behold, the layouts worked! it seems that after a hundred games, the covers stop appearing. in quickview, my games are grouped with no more than a hunded per group (95 at most). is this a limitation of aurora? or the xbox just can' handle the strain of a displaying that many games at once?

forgot to mention, i downloaded some files to change "freestyle home" to "aurora home" and it worked. but that also rendered the file manager unusable. i'm talking about the one that appears when you push the guide button not the one in aurora. not a dealbreaker really but i do miss its convenience. edit- i downloaded the said files here.

i have a similar problem concerning my HUD file browser. when i use fsd's plugin, it works, but once i switch over to aurora and load its version of the plugin, it stops working. like, once i open the file browser, i cant scroll it, and the icons all turn white. but it's not frozen at all. just not working.
