  1. Less played games dont have public rooms, as it is almost pointless, when the user can create a private room to play that game with their friends. Only admins and moderators on link can create a new public room for a game, as it involves editing the game data on unity. Outside of Team Phoenix, there arent any moderators or administrators that I know of that could help you with that. That being said, I am a member of Team Phoenix, and could add a public room for you, for a specific game, but it is pointless, as it would be public and anyone could join from any region, which isnt what you want.
  2. The xbox 360 does not work reliably with solid state drives, the data transfer is faster than the kernel can handle, so a lot of stuff gets dropped from the buffer. Use a flash drive, which generally has slower transfer speeds, or an actual hard drive, and I bet your problem dissappears. As for the rest, if you think web browsers are simple apps, you have another thing coming. Firefox takes like 6 hours to compile on my crappy 1.6ghz quad core with 8gb of ram laptop. On my better one, that is twice as fast, it takes about 3 and a half. That should give you an idea of how complicated it actually is. On the moddern internet, web browsers not only have to be able to parse HTML code, but also CSS, and JavaScript. On top of that, you would also have to implement DRM stuff, plugin support, and a bunch of other things that arent coming to mind right now. In all actuallity, a decent web browser can be one of the most complex apps on your devices. That is why a lot of the stock light weight android browsers that come with cheap phones dont work with more complex web sites, and other sites have a seperate mobile site, if it sees your User Agent string is a tablet/phone browser, and it will redirect you to the mobile version of the site, which is usually stripped down a bit, due to mobile browsers not being able to support that.
  3. I havnt tested it, but to play orignal xbox games on link, you have to sign in via a web browser, and then create, or join a room for an orignal xbox game there. Then you should be able to launch the game, and start playing. I am sure we will probably find a better way to do that with Link V2, when ever we get around to that
  4. I dont know, I havnt looked that close, I was thinking about looking at porting the changes, but it said they were merged already. as I said, I am already building it for one system at the moment, and running into all sorts of fun issues. lol. It appears not all cores will build for Arm64 processors.
  5. I would think if you could dump the changes from swizzys build, you might be able to add it to a newer, or older version for that matter. It would be a bit of work, but most of the hard stuff has been done already. Also, I was looking the other day, and git hub says that the changes have been merged up stream, so you might be able to build the latest version of retroarch for the 360. I dont know for sure though. I am actually busy building all the cores for the switch at the moment. lol. Going to integrate it into kodi 18, with the retroplayer plugin, among other things. Once I get my base done there, I am going to jump into attacking some of these driver issues with USB, sound, and stuff.
  6. we dont care, we dont support Ninja, or any xbox live hacking service. Because of that, we dont test Aurora against those services. If the problem persists, after you reset your dashlaunch settings and remove ninja from your plugins, we might be able to help you, or at the very least look into it.
  7. There are plans to help with this a bit, but the truth is, there isnt much of a moderating team on link. I hardly turn on my xbox these days. Been busy with my switch. lol.
  8. Then that pretty much leaves ind-bios and X2, which are the 2 I would suggest, for that console.
  9. The bank switch only works on v1.0 - 1.1? motherboards that have a 1mb bios. any SPDT switch will work, if you want a 4 way split, you can use 2 spdt switches. the basic idea can be found at the end of this page. https://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8139 That being said, it has been a really long time since I have done this mod, but I could have sworn you had to cut the traces. According to that you do not.
  10. I use Ind-Bios on mine, but that is mainly because I plan on doing the ram upgrade at some point. Though, I have come across a few sound issues in Ind-Bios, it is fairly stable. The other bet I would go for is the X2 Bios. There are a few other options, but they require that you have a 1mb TSOP, in which case, I would suggest installing a bank switch, and flashing both bioses, then you could easily switch between them.
  11. I laugh at you, because your code has nothing to do with passcode locks in Aurora. On top of that, even if it did, that code changes with every console, as the last 4 are stored in the SMC config of the console, so giving the code that unlocked the NxE locks on your console is useless to anyone else you give it too(excepting the only real change there is the last 4 button presses.) So, once you have some more experience, you might find it smart to see that the staff on this forum have probably repaired, or modded more consoles than you have. Also, if you read the question in the beginning thread, you would have known that your bad advice for this issue was exactly that, then not argued with the staff when they said it was bad advice.
  12. Yes, he read your first thread. You can activate, and download TU's in the game settings, just like you launch the trainer. Just because you have both Aurora 0.7b and Aurora 0.5b, doesnt mean the settings between them are connected. This is why you must activate the TU in 0.7b also, or it will remove the TU that is in Content/Cache when you launch the game. The TU loader knows this, so it checks the DB to find out if the game has a TU enabled, if it doesnt then the trainer is disabled. Now you have your spoon fed answer, youtube TitleUpdates Aurora, and you will find 100+ videos on just this topic.
  13. Every thing seems fine in the launch.ini. Also, how can you have 10 scripts running in aurora? you can only run 1 utility at a time. even then, it wouldnt cause the console to shut down. I have had wierd stuff like this happen when a nand flash was bad. Try reflashing your nand with a new xebuild image, dash can stay the same even. If that doesnt work, I would then go towards some sort of hardware thing, usually has to do with over heating, and thermal paste.
  14. That will do absolutly nothing..... The only way I know of to remove the code, and keep the rest of the data intact, is to copy the settings.db to a computer, open it with SQLlite browser, and erase the code from the DB. You should also change the bit for enabling security, because if there is no code, and security is still enabled, you will probably be in the same boat.
  15. The end result of FSD was not opensourced, because there was a lot of code included by other team members that didnt want their code released. They did release FSD2.2, but because of the same issue, there is a lot missing, and it doesnt compile, as far as I know. If it does, it is missing a bunch of features. Team Phoenix are the members that are left, and a few of the trusted forum members, most of them staff, who test it. Now, if the developers decide to release their code as open source, it probably wont be until they are done with it, because they dont want to deal with the infinant number of forks, and people complaining at them when they dont work. What the policy will be as far as what is included, and what is not I do not know, and will probably be figured out when it is said and done. The other reason that TeamFSD decided not to do another stripped down version of the dashboard for rev 3 755 is that they didnt feel anyone really did anything with the work they had already released. That is what I have gotten from my conversations with the devs. Now, if you want to help with a project, look into cmnk's port of XBMC to the 360. Unfortunatly, he started with the XBMC4Xbox sources, which are way behind the Kodi sources, but either way, a much easier feat to port, assuming you dont mind rewriting a lot of the ASM used to optimize certain features on an X86 based CPU to ASM that is usable on a PP64 CPU, and then there are the changes in the DirectX API. All of that being said, He has done a very good job, and the latest release I looked at play videos, using Ced2911's FFMPEG port libraries, which are also quite old, and the changes should probably be ported into a much newer version. If you were to help get that project in to the mainstream, I am sure that at the very least, you could talk to Team Phoenix, about maybe helping by adding Nova support to XBMC360, and maybe changing the media tab in the hud to work with XBMC. Obviously, when it is generally a fully working dashboard, that is ready for a public release. This way, we can keep Xbox Unity alive across multiple dashboards. 1 service, multiple choices on front end. All that being said I would help, but I am caught up in building my own custom linux distro using Gentoo for my Nintendo Switch. There are tons of kernel changes, video card acceleration changes, etc that I have to port into the gentoo kernel sources, and the Mesa stuff. Then I have to work out the issues that come with porting this stuff to newer versions, which means fixing the compiler errors and stuff. I spent a week updating the Switch Coreboot to the latest git version, because I couldnt get the toolchain to build GCC 6, which is what the version of coreboot wanted. Ported the U-Boot patches to the latest verion of U-Boot, but because of new options in U-Boot, I dont quite understand, I am not sure what memory addresses to point at there. On top of that I am working a 40 hour a week job.
  16. If you are using Aurora 0.7b, there are custom XUI elements that need to be added to XUItool, then it will allow it to open. Also, the XUI files are not included in skins, the binary XUR files are. Both can be opened in XUITool, but one is an XML file, the other is a binary file. All of that being said, you can get the XUI element extensions at phoenix.xboxunity.net
  17. Most of the sound stuff was removed in aurora, mainly because it takes up memory, which the Dev's wanted to use for new useful features.
  18. For the auto launch feature to work, you need it to be tagged as emulators and not games. You set this when you create the scan path.
  19. It also depends on the console version. For example, I dont think a jasper would boot an early blades dash, due to hardware changes. The best bet would be to test it out on a JTAGED Xenon console, that the dash was designed around. Support for new hardware in newer versions of the board were added to newer versions of the dash, so chances are that is why it isnt working on your hardware, or why it isnt working propperly. It is hard to say without seeing some sort of post log from your console while trying to boot the image.
  20. If you could find a copy of the USB update for a version of the old blades dash, you could potentially create a jtag image, and flash it to your console. This wouldnt require to much work, I wouldnt think. I dont think anyone has bothered trying, because it is absolutly useless, unless you want it for the coolness factor. Even then it would get old, when you wanted to play newer games. Also, dashlaunch probably wont work on it, so I would spoof the KV with a banned one, if I were to try it.
  21. This wasnt addressed in the hotfix, because there are plans for the whole status bar area in 0.8b. Some major reworking there that has been planned since like 0.2b. It is just now being focused on though. lol. That being said, I will see to it that it gets fixed in 0.8b, if I find while testing this new feature that the bug still exists, I will get it fixed. At this point, all we can do is wait. 0.8b is still in early-ish development. Alot of the effort was shifted for the hotfix.
  22. If you read the topic, I said I didnt know what was included, as I tried to download them all as of the date on the pack, and make 1 compilation. Others have added to, and updated it. I have no idea what is included in any of the packs, what versions, what TU versions they are for, etc. It is a mystery.
  23. You should be able to boot into NXE if you hold RB on controller while booting. From here you can launch xexmenu, and put the new skin back. If not, you can install a new copy of 0.7b, and redo your database.
  24. Most of the languages added to 0.7b.1 were done by the community after Aurora 0.7b was released. We are lacking in translators for a lot of languages, but if you want to contribute, you can translate it to hebrew, and I can get Ro to add it to the update. This probably wont help those who have already updated though, since the revision of aurora will still be the same, and that is what aurora looks for when there is an update.
