  1. Haha, sorry I don't mean to laugh. It's frustrating I know. I think they're just making everything call home for permission in an attempt to control what they lost with modded consoles and Xbox Live hacks, but it just makes everything turn to shit when they can't even handle their own servers. I know that ddos attacks are out of their hands, but maybe they could focus on making a stable update every now and again to try and show a little competence. Oh well, first world problems, lmao.
  2. This is really starting to cut into my X-files binge watching... Yet they wonder why people mod their consoles. I can't even play my digitally downloaded games, WTF. Even Snoop weighed in on the situation
  3. [RELEASE] FSD TUs and covers download fixhttp://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/6234-%255BRELEASE%255D-FSD-TUs-and-covers-download-fix
  4. Please go back and read again all that Swizzy has told you. The answers are already there, the decision is yours to make.
  5. From the main screen in Aurora... Press "B" and from the Filters & Sort tab go down under Filters to "User" and select it. Then select your script, back out to main screen and profit. This is a temporary filter, so when you restart Aurora, it will return to your default setting. If you want it to be in the Quick View (right/left bumpers) then from the main screen press "B" and tab over to the Quick View tab, under Quick View Builder, select "Add", then select "Quick View" and name it whatever you wish, select "Done". Then select "Change Icon" and select whatever icon you wish. Then under Filter, select "Add" and tab over to Filters->User, and select your script. Then if you want you can tab back to Operators and customize. Your done, now from the main screen you can hit the bumpers and select your script just like 360, Classic, Homebrew, etc. You can also set it as a default by going back to the Quick View Builder and selecting "Modify List" and select your new Quick View as default... Or, simply press "Y" on your Quick View from the main screen.
  6. Downloading from the dash won't be available until the next Aurora release. For now you either need to push from Unity, which means you need to log in to unity and get an api key from Aurora, or use Swizzy's asset editor to install it from your pc. Don't refresh the game or it will keep going back to super street fighter.
  7. Rename the game using the game info screen (Y button) then either push a different cover from Unity or replace using asset editor tool. I had the same issue with that particular game ages ago, but it's an easy fix.
  8. The xuitool that is needed to edit the skin files is part of the XDK. Please use the search box at the top of this page and you will come across threads where this is discussed. Music has to be converted to wav however you can add a background to Aurora without even editing the skin.
  9. OK, yeah a quick search introduced me to Ingenious, 360 Menu, 360Dashit and NXE + GOD. But I am not familiar with any of those, lolz. Probably before my time.
  10. NXE (stock dash) and XEXmenu. I'm not aware of any others.
  11. None of your images work, can't see what you're talking about. Try using the add image button... copy/paste the public link from your dropbox and add to the end... ?raw=1 As for the speed of your animation, you probably need to play with the endpoint of each frame to extend it out further. You can see felida doing something similar in this video, it shows setting the end of the transition at about 45 seconds into the vid.
  12. I would like to see it too, just because it's nice to have options. Whether Team Pheonix or another skin dev bring it, i'm sure it will be welcome. Yep, still got that copy of the skin you made when you had that aha moment. Let me know if I can help out with graphics if you decide to build a new one.
  13. Que paso amigo? Yeah, there's that too. Never understood the dislike from all two of those guys that have a problem with Aurora. One of the few times I actually enjoy being in the majority, lmao.
  14. Matter of opinion from someone unwilling to explore/learn. FSD copies a very old Microsoft dash not seen since before Metro came along in 2011. Even then it's only vaguely similar. Besides, they are making something new, not setting out to copy everyone else. Aurora and FSD require adding games in the same exact fashion by scanning in a path. As for getting to the games, you have multiple ways, first you can press the right bumper to bring up the filter menu. Second you can press X to bring up the Quick browse and even press X again to type in the exact name (or even just a portion of it). Of course there's also the default view that you can just scroll through... How many different ways can you access your games in FSD??? Plenty of skins have sound, and you can add sound yourself if you want to edit the skin. But the developers have stated before that it won't be in the default skin. Not my place to say really, but they actually seem pretty receptive to bug reports and suggestions. Agreed, but keep in mind this is also a beta. I can hardly imagine how epic Aurora will be by the time final release hits.
  15. You can see the LiNK realtime top 5 on the Home Page. You can also go to xboxunity.net and use the sort and filter option to sort by LiNK users. Since it changes constantly, that's probably your best bet to find the most popular LiNK games. Not to squash your hopes here, but it really depends on who else is online, not so much about when you feel like it. That said, maybe some others have suggestions.
  16. I couldn't remember dashlaunch or FSD, was scratching my head thinking maybe dashlaunch sends the info, but FSD displays it. Oh well, now i know. Thanks Swizzy. Yeah, I knew USB would override, but wasn't sure if flash was read before hdd or visa versa. I checked the readme and info_launch.ini, but probably skimmed over it too fast, lolz. In that case it sounds like he was writing changes to flash before, but it was reading from hdd1 when launching. I'll make sure not to recommend writing to flash in the future, makes troubleshooting easier anyways now that I know the ini read order.
  17. NP, glad you got it working
  18. Somehow your Freestyle plugin isn't loading then. Make sure it's set to load on launch in Aurora... make sure it's even there in Aurora/Plugins. Also make sure to do a full reboot You can check what plugins/modules are loaded by pressing back button while on Aurora's main screen.
  19. That's what I figured. So open Dashlaunch again and make sure the changes are set for your default dash under paths, then go back to the save/load screen and make sure you save it in hdd:1. You will probably notice a checkmark next to the one that is currently loaded, that one is the one that's most likely wrong. edit: One is overriding the other and going to FSD check your PM
  20. FTP in or use a file manager to check the three locations I just mentioned. If you don't know how to ftp in then just use a file manager in Dashlaunch, FSD or XEXMenu and just copy it to a flash drive and put it on your PC. Then you can open it with a standard text editor and copy/paste it here inside spoiler tags (third icon from top left in the reply window)
  21. Sounds like you either have another launch.ini or you didn't point dashlaunch correctly. Can you post your launch.ini (using spoiler tags) and let me know the exact path of your Aurora install. Also check your hdd, usb and flash for a second launch.ini. Should only need to check the root of each.
  22. Sure... http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/6611-fable-3-with-all-dlcs/?p=56247 Let me know what part of that you have trouble with.
  23. Yeah I've heard that about Parallels. I've always run VMWare Fusion without much problem.
  24. Yes, Aurora is a better dash than FSD. It's lighter, faster, more stable, more current and last but not least, it's still being worked on/supported by devs. When Aurora 0.6b comes out, I have a feeling a lot of people will be spending time customizing things with the new utility scripts function. Check out what's coming in this thread... Update Information - Aurora 0.6b Another good thing to look forward to is... NOVA - The Future of LiNK . You can also check out the Aurora releases thread to look at each version and get a better idea what Aurora can do and what each version has added. I still keep my FSD install, after all I put a lot of time into it, but Aurora has been my default dash since 0.4b (or maybe 0.3b IDK), and will remain so. Give it a try, check out the skins section and try on some new duds, I think you'll like it.
