  1. yeah, there's a few ways to make it a little better. But honestly for what. There's like what, 6 trailers on Xbox.com? Haha, just isn't a huge issue until trailers become more readily available.
  2. I looked at it today, but unfortunately didn't see a way to let trailers override background music. I think it would have to be coded into Aurora. Same would go for adding a path for the wave file to be picked up outside the xzp, so users could customize without extra tools/software. Of course i'm not a skilled skinner or coder, so take that with a grain of salt, lolz. edit: @HawkEight360, my recommend would be to wait it out till 0.6b is released... Maybe the utility scripting will open a new door??
  3. I thought Tapatalk was to blame at first. Glad you got it sorted.
  4. Probably just server maintenance.
  5. Yes and no. There is no option to use sounds in Aurora. There is the way you don't want to hear, or editing the skin itself. Editing the skin requires xuitool found in the XDK. I have done this before for another member here and it's really easy. edit: Actually, all I did for the other member was to add sound to the skin he wanted to use. This made him happy because it only required him to unpack the skin, then replace the music file (wav) with his and finally repack it. Much easier than having to track down/install/use the XDK. As an example... Here I have modified the default Aurora skin by adding a looped ambient sound. You can use this skin as is or unpack it using XZPtool2 and replace the Aurora.wav (in the Sounds folder) with a wav of your choice (make sure it's named Aurora.wav) then repack it and enjoy. The sound file is from here... https://www.freesound.org/people/frankum/sounds/338255/ Credit to felida as I believe he was the first to add sounds to Aurora skins. AuroraMod.xzp.zip
  6. Could be Lolz. I didn't try it that way, but I'll test it later to be sure.
  7. Just a friendly bump to let people know that the PSIO has finally gone on sale to the general public. Woohoo! First post updated. Now that i'm working i'll probably pick one up later this month They had another round of pre-orders on March 1st, but they sold out rather quickly... Bummer. I'm going to have to stay glued to the website if I want to make a purchase I guess, lolz. edit 3/10: Add to cart ability has been restored, looks like they are replenishing stock fairly quick now.
  8. Glad you got it working. You can find a few donate buttons scattered around the forums like here Aurora 0.5b by Phoenix , or go to the Team Phoenix website
  9. Yeah I haven't tested it either so IDK. I think that might be the missing element here though, disabling the Freestyle plugin. I remember gavin mentioned that in the thread I linked to, I just forgot about it. (Tomorrow is my first day back at work in 6 yrs, so lots on my mind, lolz. Yay, i'm a technician again)
  10. Ahh, OK. That makes sense. Oh well, that's what I get for quoting M$, lmao. Sounds like it comes down to either game/TU/DLC not matching, or maybe just an issue with the router. Did you try rebooting your router after switching cables/WiFi @gandalfnz? edit: @Swizzy, I was basing that off of a conversation with felida a while back.
  11. According to this https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/console/connect-system-link-play, you cannot mix wired and wireless connections in the same system link play configuration (read the note under method 3). You can see the connection, but you can't join. So you would need to either make them both wireless or both wired for this to work.
  12. Since the post I made doesn't help you, I have no idea how to answer that question. The only reasons I can think of for it not sticking through a reboot are: You have two Aurora installations and are changing one then booting to another You have a completely bonkered installation. You do not have your profile set to login automatically on boot?? edit: So I just tested by changing my background, then signing out and restarting Aurora. When Aurora finished loading it was back to the default background. Signing back in and restarting Aurora brought the custom background back. Assuming you have a profile, go to NXE and assign that profile to sign in automatically. Then make your background changes in Aurora and you will find that they stick through a reboot.
  13. Default background is built into the skin AFAIK. You would have to disassemble the skin to change it. Why exactly does this not help you, it worked fine for me last time I tested custom backgrounds. edit: and feel free to edit your posts instead of double posting
  14. Since 0.4b this is how you should install alternative backgrounds. It might be slightly different on 0.5 and also depending on the skin you use, but basically follow this.
  15. You might be right on the edge of Aurora support with that old of a kernel. Try USB, if that doesn't work, you most likely will have to update your Kernel. For that, just look for any post Swizzy has made and click the kernel update link in his signature, that should give you what you need to know to get up to date. edit: Here is the update tutorial. You should really update to 17489 and DL 3.16 anyways, that way you can play newer games too.
  16. What kernel version are you running? Also what version of Dashlaunch? Tell us a little about your setup and exactly what you tried. You may have corrupt or missing files in the Aurora folder... Did you FTP it? If so you should use binary transfer mode instead off ascii or auto.
  17. Well if we're just talking about what we use, I'm on Aeon MQ6. I used to use modified versions of Aeon Nox but when MQ was released I jumped on it. I like the Aeon skins for their showart/logo views. Since I've spent so much time in Inkscape making vector replacements for so many of my movie logos and uploading them to fanart.tv. Trakt has its uses, but i rather prefer MySQL for multi device syncing, I recently switched to Plex for my on-the-go needs. edit: Some artwork i've done... HD Logos... HD Clearart. Not all of my artwork has been approved as they have a very strict acceptance policy. One of the main reasons I took the time to learn Vector graphics, since you can scale without losing quality.
  18. I don't think you'll find any skin on Kodi that resembles FSD3. There are a few Xbox style skins like the Xbox One skin, the JX 720 skin or even the old school Project Mayhem 3 skin. There was a skin called Xperience, but that was for an XBMC4XBOX build... it's since been updated to Xperience1080 and lost its FSD look in favor of Xbox One. But for the most part Kodi has tried to distance it's relation with the Xbox. Skinners have mostly gone in another direction, so either skins aren't compatible with the latest Kodi builds, or they don't resemble what you're looking for. Something that may feel similar is maybe Black Glass Nova. I actually tested this skin for a little while, it's very well made, but a little heavy. edit: I found an unofficial update to Xperience More skin, maybe it's what you're looking for. Not sure if it will work on Isengard+ builds though as the file says 14 (Helix). Updated file here if you want to try it.
  19. Any number of things could be preventing you from joining LiNK. Without providing any information there's not much anyone can do to help. Tell us what kernel you are running, what version of Dashlaunch you are running, what your Dashlaunch settings are, If you are on WiFi and/or 3G, if you entered your username and password in the correct fields. On top of all that, there is no JQE360 anymore, it is called XboxUnity. Also why did you post this in a Dashlaunch announcement thread? You would be better off asking this question in the Unity Support thread after reading some of the posts there.
  20. Not exactly sure what your question is... Do you not know where to find it? You can use File Manager to copy your game, use this info to locate it: Xbox 360 HDD Folder List Content Location: /partition3/content/0000000000000000/<TITLEID>/<OFFERID>/ Save Location: /partition3/content/<PROFILEID>/<TITLEID>/<OFFERID>/ Music Collection: /partition3/mindex/media/ - The Music files are simply .wma with a custom header. The only OFFERID's that always remain the same are the ones assigned to themes/gamerpics/videos. 00020000 - Gamerpics 00030000 - Themes 00080000 "now 000D0000" - Demos 00090000 - Videos 00004000 - Game Installs 00000002 - Extra Content 00007000 - Games On Demand 000B0000 - Title Updates Aurora shows the game's name next to the TITLEID so that makes it really easy to find. Once you locate it you can simply go down the left column and select "copy", then tab right to open a new location and paste it where you want, i.e. USB0:/GOD. If you don't already have Aurora setup to scan the path you just pasted it to, then go to Content Scanning and add the new path. Here's a couple of screenshots to show you what I mean. edit: You may want to do as superted says and use NXE2GOD, I had some issues with Aurora not detecting NXE games properly. Swizzy looked into it for me ages ago and pointed out that while NXE's look similar to GOD's they aren't the same. Not sure if anything was ever done to correct what Aurora picked up when it grabbed the header info, but if you run into any issue, try NXE2GOD. edit2: Looks like a non issue, I searched for my old post and looks like MaesterRowen fixed that issue in 0.5b
  21. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/PlayStation+4+Power+Supply+Replacement/24719 Why do you insist on asking questions that are a simple search away. I don't mind helping, but you need to take a little initiative for yourself.
  22. Yeah, if you live in an area of frequent power outages or spikes, you might want to consider a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). They can keep your device supplied with stable power so precious equipment isn't damaged. I installed one in my fathers house when his security camera DVR was getting hit with power dips, went through two Hdd's before I figured out what was happening. Been running without issue now for 2 years. Added benefit, still works when the power goes out. But like Felida said, your device may already be damaged.
  23. It's a simple engineering fact, moving parts wear, faster moving parts wear faster. Shortening the life of the fan. It's the same reason that rubbing your hands together on a cold day will help warm them. Friction is an engineers biggest hurdle. That's why it's recommended to run your fan using target temps in Dashlaunch, so that your fan only uses the minimum amount of movement required to do the job. When someone creates a solid state cooling fan, the problem will be solved.
  24. I get that, ddos just sucks. But M$ is shooting themselves in the foot with phone home. I remember the good old days when Xbox Live was for online gaming. They've gone and overcomplicated things by making everything rely on that connection. If you're going to build a better mousetrap, make sure it works lolz. edit: Don't ask me why or how I posted this topic in Playstation, derp!
