  1. all you needed to do was create a new dump patch it as a downgrade (ie replacing all the ros0 and ros1 areas) flash it back and if you patched for the latest cfw then enter recovery and re-install the cfw (once patched it will enter recovery)
  2. no you don't brick it. that's stupid !! you run minvercheck as an update in the xmb if your console will go to or below 3.55 then you need a flasher if slim then you can use a progskeet or E3 flasher or TEENSY++ if you have a phat that is CECHG or below (the 5th letter between A-G) then you have a nand console so use progskeet or TEENSY++ if you have a phat CECHH or above then you can use a progskeet or E3 flasher or TEENSY++ you make a dump validate it patch it for 3.55 (or the latest cfw eg 4.53cfw) flash it back install rogero3.55 in fsm (or if you patched for the latest cfw then install the cfw in recovery menu) qa dehash (skip if you patched for the latest cfw) install any cfw / ofw you want if your console is 3.56 min then patch for the latest cfw ONLY in the patch step above
  3. it doesn't matter what you format it to. when you put the hdd in and turn it on the ps3 will boot to recovery menu and you will have to re-install the firmware. thiw will then format the hdd into the ps3's format you can put up to a 2tb hdd into a ps3 but up to a 1tb is more compatable never heard of a RGH ps3 before @swizzy and as this thread is in the ps3 section then he must be on about a ps3 right?
