I just ordered one for the slim so having an hdd will solve all the problems?

Hello, i wanted to play some original xbox games on my xbox 360 but since i have a 4gb ultra slim model that only has intmu and not any hdd, can i even play them or not. Xexmenu only shows usb0 and flash cuz its intmu. All the tutorials show that you need an hdd to play the original xbox games so i'm not sure. Sorry if there's any grammar mistakes as english is not my first language
