  1. Well, i just saw you guys started another discussion on this topic, but i'd like to return to the original one, sorry for being absent but i was on the process of exchange external hdd so i could try rule out a defective hdd just as was suggested. But sadly, nothing has changed, even after transferring everything to a new external formatted hdd, all my games are still being detected as homebrew, and trainers won't work, not even by a presidential executive order.
  2. no good, i did everything from Linux, download extract, transfer, but trainers are never found, always the same 3 errors
  3. I tried, but i have a macbook pro, and it seems that Ubuntu running from a pendrive in a mac, can't detect network device, so if i run linux i end up with no network to download or transfer to xbox by FTP, but i can transfer by usb to everywhere, that's what i did, downloaded on windows, run linux, transfer to pendrive, the only missing piece was download from linux, I'll keep looking for a way to enable networking in linux so i can try your suggestion. Thanks
  4. No good, i tried everything, but trainers won't show up no matter what, the same 3 errors are shown in the log file for every game i try to use trainers. I even bought a new pendrive just to test if it was a device problem, but nope, no trainers are shown, and xbox games keep being detect as unsigned, but hey, at least there is a way to fix that.
  5. I'll certainly try your suggestion and report back. They are really weird indeed, but i might have forgotten to provide some important information, i was so focused on correcting the problem that i stopped care about how it started in the first place: i used to have a fully functional version of aurora running from my external hdd, i was testing to see if it was worth moving entirely from FSD to Aurora, and version 0.5b is really good so decided to make Aurora default, in order to do that, i moved my entire Aurora folder from external hdd to internal (sometimes i start my xbox without external hdd plugged, so its safer to leave aurora on the drive i know will always be available), and that's when problems started, aurora booted just fine after the transfer, but all the already in place trainers stopped being detected, well, no problem i thought, transferring an entire Aurora folder already configured must not be good, all i had to do was delete aurora and start from scratch, no luck, trainers wouldn't show, and that's when i noticed my unsigned xbox games problem as well. After some days of trying to solve for myself i decided to seek help, and here we are. So, transferring aurora folder from drive to drive was a bad idea, but why the problems are still haunting me even after deleting everything and start from a brand new aurora?
  6. I use Filezilla, i changed default transfer mode to binary, but same errors. Then i tried installing FlashFXP also changing transfer mode to binary in settings, no luck. I also tried transferring trainers plugging my external hdd in my computer, on windows, then on mac, then on linux, and finally tried using smb share from FSD. Nothing changes, same 3 errors keep poping up on log. Sad, very sad.
  7. Through FTP, no errors, but since you mentioned it, i'll try every other way i can think of to transfer the trainers. Thanks
  8. Well, i found some more evidence, that maybe will help shine some light on this trainers problems, let me show you a piece of my Aurora's log regarding trainer list: As you can see, every time i try to bring forth the list of trainers for a particular game, the trainer's .xex file is indeed found, but is immediately followed by 3 errors messages: "Extract Resource Result: 3" "Failed to open Aurora xex section" "Aurora.dat was empty" Just to be sure, i tried to load trainers for a game that actually didn't have its trainer installed, Aurora searches for it on both possible folders, and since nothing is found, no errors are thrown. I really hope someone knows what these error messages means, and maybe help me find a cure for this decease. Thanks.
  9. Unfortunately, changing the contegroup value, had no effect on detecting trainers, i triple checked both Title ID and Media ID for several games and none shows up on my trainers list, sad, really sad. Since all games are now correctly categorized, what are possible causes for trainers not being detect? Besides the obvious: differences in Title/Media ID which i'm sure that's not the case. Thanks in advance for any help
  10. Thank you very much, this, is all the information i needed: [Flags] public enum ContentGroupValues { Hidden = 0, Xbox360 = 1, Xbla = 2, Indie = 3, XboxClassic = 4, Unsigned = 5, LibXenon = 6, Count = 7 } Tomorrow i'll test if fixing this problem also fixes my trainers not being detected as well. I'll also continue investigating why my xbox games were detect as unsigned in first place, if i ever find a solution, i'll post here for anyone who might be having this same issue.
  11. Do you know which contentflag should i use for a game to be detected as Xbox 360? it seems all my xbox games are considered homebrew inside aurora. Thanks.
  12. Well, i'm feeling really dumb right now, maybe we're talking about different things, i triple checked from top to bottom and i'm pretty sure there is no "groupflag" field on any tabe at content.db. Which DB Editor github are you talking about, is it the one you're developing?
  13. I wanted to try something even if its complicated, while i wait for a more friendly solution, i'm trying to mess with the database, i don't care if it gets corrupted, i can always make a new one, i just need some sort of direction for which table, field, values should i change, or should i try to change. This problem is really bizarre, i tried several different Aurora versions, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, aways with a new aurora installation, i tried to put just one game on a brand new external hdd just for itself, i tried several different games on different levels of scan depth, no matter what i try, games are always being detected as homebrew (they only appear on show all tab), and even more strange: actual homebrew and emulators, on their separate folders are detected during scan as they should, the same goes for arcade games, no problems with them as well, i even tried to mix xbox games, arcade games, homebrew, and emulators all on the same folder, and everything gets detects just fine, except for the xbox games. Besides aurora installation folder, does someone know if aurora have any data stored elsewhere? in order to really start from scratch. Thanks anyway.
  14. OK, it something possible to alter on content.bd? i found lots of information about each detected game on ContentItens table, but i couldn't figure out which data should i change in order to force a game to become Xbox instead of homebrew.
