fulltimehustler 36 Posted December 2, 2015 Is Zell only operational with ethernet plugged in? Or is my wireless adapter getting in the way. It's xbox adapter. I unplugged it and used ethrnet and xell loaded all the way finally. I don't even know how to use xell. Think I used it once or twice before, mainly for emulutor. I think I just plugged and it auto brang up options or something. Last night my xbox was messed up while I was trying to use xell, but It just kept searching etc So I'm guessing I can't boot an xex from xell? I didnt get to try because I fixed my xbox while trying (information file was all I needed in my case to restore my xbox settings) Just to clarify if I used xell right. Wait for it to fully load and show my ip. Then it should search and find my usb and whatever on it. Then it's pretty straight forward from there? Swizzy 2083 Posted December 2, 2015 XeLL can't use a Wifi module, it only works with ethernet for networking... XeLL don't require a network connection to work tho... it'll boot fine without it, however maybe your adapter was having it end up in a deadlock somewhere in the code? No, XeLL don't boot XEX's, XeLL is a linux bootloader capable of running "elf" files, which are a form of linux executables... they need to be compiled specifically for Xbox 360 tho in order to work... Yeah, once XeLL has "finished" the main bootup process it'll start searching for something to boot on various devices (whatever is supported)
fulltimehustler 36 Posted December 2, 2015 Makes sense. I thought it was pretty straight forward when I used it before. And yeah it was definitely stuck in a "loop" or something with wireless plugged in
