Recommended Posts

As the title says I have newly had my Xbox fitted with jtag. I do not have it connected to the net so it was not a problem not playing online etc. but "installing" some of my favorite games to the HDD for easy playing was a great thing. Please could someone explaine how to copy the game cover art from a usb stick so it shows on the Xbox browser. Thanks in advance some one has to of figured it out. Thanks thanks thanks

Topic moved, as this is not a tutorial.

Anyway to answer your question, there is no easy way to install cover art via usb. If you are running FSD, then there is a nice option to push covers from the computer using the webUI. This feature is not used in aurora. Unfortunatly, for you at least, aurora doesnt save the covers as images, but instead, it is more of a memory map of pixels, that the xbox can recognise. This means that the covers load faster, but the only way to do it would be to get the required files off of an xbox that already has them. I dont know exactly how FSD stores cover data.

Long story short, you are better off configuring dashlaunch to block live, and then connecting to xbox unity, and downloading the covers, and title updates from there, just like everyone else does. :)

If you can't or won't connect to unity or there's no covers there (if you have the cover create a post in correct section & upload it for others to use),then like has been said use web browser (assuming cover is  i'm not sure if they're jpg or png format) then it's quite easy to select the game & upload the cover to it,if it resides on the computer in normal format.

Swizzy has posted before on the loctation of the actual coverart if its in xbox format so yes it can be one manually if required so the post is round here somewhere.

Perhaps party buffalo, modio ,le fluffie app or 360 content manager could do it if in xbox format, perhaps i didn't see cover art using one of those programs on a 360 drive when i was exploring ,i can't bloody remember ??

Gavin explained the method when xboxunity isn't an option, in order to push a cover from xboxunity it has to be approved by us first..
