Gonzalo Calandria 1 Posted August 14, 2014 I have my xbox console with the dashboard 16203 and i want to update to the latest possible. This is what i did so far: - Extracted the nand with Simple 360 NAND flasher. - Used AutoGG to rewrite the nand file - Flashed back with Xell Reloaded When i turn on the xbox it throws E 79 every time. This is my doubts: - When the Simple 360 NAND flasher starts i have 2 options, extract full nand or only system nand (65mb against 512mb aprox.). I tried with both nand's without luck. - When the Simple 360 NAND flasher start to extract the nand it throws bad blocks errors (like... 8 error aprox.). - When the E 79 appears, what i did was to flash with the original nand extracted with Simple 360 NAND flasher (the full nand, i didn't test it with the partial nand) fixing the E 79 and the console back to his working state. So.. what is going on? I'm doing something wrong? My thought was that the bad blocks are causing the E 79 but why if i flash the original nand extracted (with the bad blocks) the xbox works again? I hope you can help me! Regards, Gonzalo.
Swizzy 2083 Posted August 14, 2014 Try writing it with Simple 360 NAND Flasher instead If the image still don't work you need to use Simple 360 NAND Flasher 1.4b to know which blocks are really bad and do a manual remap from a clean image...

I have tried writing with Simple 360 NAND Flasher with the same result. What do you mean when you say "reamp from a clean image"? what will be a "clean image"? because the only image i can extract with Simple 360 NAND Flasher or Flash360 is the one with the bad blocks. What i meant was that you build a image with AutoGG or whatever GUI you prefer (or even just xeBuild if you prefer CLI) with the options NOT to remap anything (not remapping badblocks, and not remapping ecd failing blocks)
