snes 360 installation issue

Recommended Posts

so i have downloaded snes360 v 0.32 and put off my mario roms in the roms folder already created while unzipping the zipped file and launched the software using snes360.xex under xexmenu. but the games wont load up and all i get is black frozen background. i have seen on the other forums that snes 360 emulator comes in folder of FFED0707 but when i unzipped it there was no such folder only snes360 folder with xex file and roms folder. i must be doing something wrong can i have a good link to install the snes360 cuz all other forums have tuts for that FFED0707 folder only and i cant get to find the download links too. thanks

Have you tried the Xbins link at the top of this page?  It is a near complete repository of all things homebrew for the xbox 360.

Hi

I managed to get mine working yesterday along with a few others.

I renamed my folder to FFED0707, then put it in content\0000000000000000

I put roms in content\0000000000000000\FFED0707\Roms\

snes360.xex is located content\0000000000000000\FFED0707\snes360.xex

the roms I use have extension .smc

i hope this helps you,

furthermore I dont run this through xexmenu, they are in library/ homebrew

EDIT: curious why this thread is so old, it was top of list.

I am sure that you have figured this out by now but hopefully my comments may help someone else.

By library/homebrew i take it you mean in F3? the format in which you've got snes360 isn't the one that the 360 dashboard understands, infact... you can put that version anywhere you like... it doesn't matter...

This thread isn't "old", it's < 1 month...

yes F3,

hopefully it helps someone,

I don't fully understand your comment about not being the one that the 360 dash understands, does that mean OP is not running F3 or alternative?

Please don't take offence at my remark about this thread being old, just the guy has most likely found a solution else where.

The xbox 360 dashboard don't understand a folder with default.xex, it however understands LIVE containers... the path you put it in is only really required when you want to use DLC or when you want to be able to run your XBLA/LIVE packaged homebrew from the Xbox 360 dashboard
