irishdave 236 Posted April 7, 2014 If this has been asked or answered before, oops If I was to get a PS3 Slim that has 12GB HDD, if I was to remove that hard drive and replace it with a 750gb/1tb hard drive, will it work ok like it would on the xbox, or will I risk being banned? This will be for a live console for legit gaming, 12gigs will no way be enough for me
Swizzy 2083 Posted April 7, 2014 As long as the harddrive fits, yes... no problems, however... you'll need to buy a hdd case for it as the 12gb super slim doesn't have a hdd... it has built in memory on the motherboard... The harddrive must be a 2.5" SATA one that is no higher (thicker) then 9.5mm Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
irishdave 236 Posted April 7, 2014 Thanks Swizzy Yeah bud it'll be a 2.5" hdd, 9.5mm, should be ok. I thought the 12gb was a hard drive, unless the website selling the item has mis-information in its description which is good, I can ask for a partial refund for mis-selling
